During the 1960s the newly independent Congo was the scene of constant warfare. Congo Merc puts you in the middle of that fighting with a task force of elite commandos. You conduct breakneck advances into the heart of enemy territory, seize critical objectives and, just as important, return to home base.

Nápad dobrý, ale těch bugů je příliš mnoho to hru sraží až na samé dno. 1/10
Bueno
Let me be clear: the idea of Congo Merc isn't bad. A solo historical strategy game set during the chaotic Simba Rebellion of the early '60s? That's actually quite compelling. There's potential here. The turn-based gameplay, varied unit roles, randomized events, and Cold War narrative all could make for a tense, satisfying mini-wargame. But then reality hits you like a paratrooper drop gone wrong. The tutorial is so broken it might as well be an intentional hazing ritual. Half the time, it doesn’t register clicks, crashes outright, or soft-locks the game. The devs haven’t fixed it in six years, which feels like a personal attack. It made learning the game infuriating, and I don’t say that lightly. Starting over several times just to get a basic grasp of the mechanics is not how anyone should be introduced to a strategy game. Then come the bugs. Features like air reinforcement — theoretically cool — freeze the game. Choices don’t always register. Sometimes enemies just stand around stuck in the terrain, waiting to be executed. The entire thing runs like a mobile port duct-taped to a PC interface. Spoiler: it is. The combat system is simple — and not in the elegant way. Every unit just throws dice, regardless of training or armor, with no differentiation. Armored cars feel no different than militia with rocks. And yes, somehow, ragtag rebels regularly wipe out better-equipped forces. You’ll wonder if you’re playing Congo Merc or Congo Roulette. The setting? Historically interesting but shallow. You won't learn much from the game — historical context is barely mentioned, and character backstories are nonexistent. “Mike” (probably Mike Hoare) is just “Mike.” I’ve seen more depth in a cereal box lore blurb. And while the gameplay has flashes of potential — managing supply convoys, rescuing hostages, deploying recon — it’s buried under so many bugs and so much guesswork due to missing documentation that any fun becomes fleeting. I’d love to recommend this to strategy buffs, but I just can’t. The janky tutorial made me want to throw my laptop. The game systems, while promising, are undermined by lazy porting and a lack of polish. If the devs actually playtested this, I’ll eat my commando jeep. So no, I don’t recommend Congo Merc. Not until the bugs are fixed, the tutorial is usable, and the devs show that they actually care. Right now? This game is a mercenary mission gone sideways.

İğrenç.
how did i get this thing???
If they cannot even make proper tutorial... I doubt it's good game. You cannot proceed with tutorial, clicking Leopoldville. https://steamcommunity.com/id/Beridok/screenshot/969851683406735070
Just a boring game, no fun gameplay
