I believe there is a glitch that can see you skip an entire area of the game. When you spawn in, there is another you, and I don't think they're supposed to be there until after you talk to someone inside the building. I only figured out I missed that whole section cause I decided to play it twice because the game was so short. My first run was 15-20 minutes, wager that one area would be another 5 mins or so. While there isn't much here, what is here, the content of this experience, is neat. The dialogue and style doing a lot of the heavy lifting. The gameplay of walking, collecting keys, and shooting things are all serviceable to tell the story, but the philosophic pondering of what makes a man is the good stuff. I actually haven't played or seen any of the stated inspirations, but after playing this, figure they might be worth checking out. I wish there was more or the price was lower, but I'm still going to recommend cause this is worth playing through when it hits your price threshold for a 20 minute game, which for me is $2.
“Who is the real me, the me here or the me they want” “人注定要自由。”
CONDEMNED TO BE PEAK
An interesting and very short little experience, with style oozing out of its pores and writing that leaves you with a good amount to chew on. While it's absolutely not polished, including punctuation and spelling errors, that's extremely easy to ignore when the atmosphere and presentation completely nail what they're going for.
A pastiche of suda51 and PSX influences which feels like one of those kinda pretentious but nevertheless charming student films or one of those late night conversations with a new friend at university who's just glad to be able to talk to people about their philosophy classes. I like how the fog seems to dissipate a little when you aim, not just the FOV narrowing, its like youre really focusing on your line of sight
Sartre would have been proud! I really enjoyed this existentialism oriented game.
A curious case. I was REALLY enjoying what was going on. Felt like a mix of walking sims, art student movies and Neon Genesis Evangelion (directed by Wong Kar-wai this time) with some thought provoking ideas and dialogue. I especially loved the idea of "getting punished because of a crime that's yet to be done" and the talk with the woman about free will. However, to my utter dismay the game ended just when I was getting EXTREMELY INVESTED in the whole experience. I'm not even sure if that was all of the game, just hoping it's not as this is a gem in the making. Nevertheless I'll be following the dev closely while hoping he'll find it possible to realize his potential in life. Throughout my life I've consumed many types of literature. From video games, to short films, to movies, and to books. Yet they all PALE in comparison to the messages that this game brings out. The deeper message yet also leaving the player with an open ended answer is something you don't see every day Not only is the message deep and thought provoking but the music choice really sets the scene for the type of atmosphere this game is meant to convey. The mechanics is also interesting and has lots of potential and some easter eggs that might make you smile despite the solemn setting. I sincerely hope you give this a try in your free time and it may just leave you with some insights you didn't quite have before.
cool little short small tiny bit-sized game that feels like you're stuck in your early 20s again. this game is a strong feeling of deja vu smeared all over the blurry textures. also, finally someone tried to copy killer7 gameplay, good attempt!
