Commando Dog

Had to run this game for at least 0.2 hrs for a review. This will be the shortest review I've ever put about this game with good reason. Positive: Abilities (6 and 7 since 1-4 are weapons), work. Money and health pickups work. Instructions before enemies. Negatives: No weapon equipped. No ammo on character. Says ammo full despite having no ammo on character. Can't purchase weapons, despite the first 2 weapons in the starting area are priced at 0. Issues: Certain Unreal Engine controls available in the game. This isn't worth the $2.

A bit of mindless fun for 35-45 minutes. You're pretty much going forward to advance and then going backward to kill enemies. Bosses are a joke and can be completely kited with no/minimal effort. There are 4 weapons, but I only ever got to use 3 of them. There are also 2 AoE skill moves... which are a bit difficult to use efficiently since your FOV is rather small. Shots don't seem to connect 10-20% of the time for some reason as well. The game starts medium, becomes easy, and then ends hard. Despite the negatives listed, I've played worse with less fun.

I love playing negatively reviewed games with my low standards just to see if I can find some sort of redeemable quality. This game is definitely not worth your time, and let me tell you why. After just 5 minutes of playtime I somehow walked myself off the edge and soft-locked the game... But I believe that in those 5 minutes I experienced plenty of deal breakers that added to my decision to give this a negative review. But first, the positives...! And now the negatives! In all seriousness, this game has *good* graphics, though I believe that most of the assets in this game are not created by the game developer. I didn't play long enough to review the music, but it seemed decent enough. This is pretty much where I'd say the positives end. There are just way too many things to complain about, and the positives mentioned by the other reviews are, mockingly, just base game functions working. My only real complaint, that didn't seem like a bug and hasn't already been talked about in other reviews, was about the camera and camera controls. The camera is a top-down view, and is extremely close to the ground. That coupled with the unnecessary darkness on the entire level, presumably just so they could add a flashlight, makes it impossible to see enemies before they are in your face and attacking you. The controls are also bad in my opinion. The dog is always facing up (north) and your mouse's left and right movement turn the world around your dog left and right respectively. I don't think I would've had as much of an issue with this if the camera had not bee so close to the ground though. All in all, this game is not worth the money. If you want a game to boost your collection, get this in a bundle. I have seen it appear in multiple bundles, but its not worth it to buy it alone.

How do I shoot? No settings for controls, so I don´t have a clue on how to use weapons, and it´s not the mouse buttons :-/
