You know the drill, excelent writing (for a videogame), very interesting world and that clunky mess of turn based tactical gameplay which you either love or hate. Me? I do not care for silly things like "fairness", "balance" or "rng". I love this game, and if you're the kind of freak to lose hundreds of hours in Underrail you're the kind of freak for this game.
Incredibly good game. Shocking to me that I haven't heard of it before. Combat is super difficult, but pretty rewarding--forcing you to actually use consumables rather than hoarding them.
So far so good, RPG-part of the game is strong, problems can be solved in many ways and with different outcomes - definitely worth playing
(My playtime is +15 hours with playing the first chapter through the demo) A nice indie CRPG for people who enjoy some classic roleplay fun. It shows, that it was made by people who love the genre and good stories, but were constrained by budget. I do recommend it, if you are a CRPG fan. Pros: - The whole first act is playable as a demo (Over 10h of game in my case) - Demo saves can be used in the full version - Interesting worldbuilding and atmosphere - Nice story setup with enough room to roleplay - Classic RPG progression - Hero-Difficulty for a more relaxed experience (game is pretty hard) - Build variety and tactical depth (If you want) Cons: - Playing on the intended difficulty is very challenging, can be a bit offputting at first - Companions have views and personalites but talk not enough to feel like real people - The factions and their motivations are not always super clear - While the worldbuilding is top, the game lacks a bit in telling stories, that make me care about the people on this colony ship
Good game, buy the game to fund the dev's next game
