"Coins Invaders" is an unabashed and potentially copyright infringing 1:1 ripoff of Space Invaders (copyright Taito Corporation, 1978). Gameplay is identical, it's been reskinned with a "cryptobro" theme, but gameplay is identical... this wouldn't pass the "squint" test that proved catastrophic for Xio in Tetris Holdings LLC vs Xio Interactive Inc (New Jersey District Court, 2012). Yes, core game mechanics, look and feel are all copyright enforceable, although at this point in time Taito has not yet taken legal action... it's never off the cards. There's also the issue that confronts us, the gamers... this intellectual, moral and creative bankruptcy has not resulted in a game with any value for us gamers whatsoever. It's harmful to everyone. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel almost as ripped off as the Taito Corporation is.

Very fun and challenging game! I wish they added more difficulty levels.
Coins Invaders pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on cons: //repetitive and becomes uninteresting after a few minutes //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: Free To Play
Buen juego de arcade, me entretengo destruyendo naves XD
So this one is pretty boring; you just shoot enemies for 8 minutes (or for an hour for completionists). There's no variation in enemies and no endless mode. Also, for the 500 Dogecoin achievement, you would have to play the game 27+ times over. It's easier to just farm the last level over and over again (so die before killing the last enemy of the second wave).
