About
Cognition Method is a story-driven first-person puzzle game inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey and Solaris. Manipulate gravity, navigate impossible spaces, and uncover the secrets of a surreal artifact beyond human understanding.

The year is 2085. Earth is gone, humanity survives on Mars. You are William Mortwood, an astronaut of the Martian Academy. A remote space station has gone silent after bringing a mysterious Artifact aboard. The crew vanished, and your son was among them. Now you must uncover the truth, face challenges that defy reason… and try not to lose yourself along the way.
Master mechanics that twist gravity, space, and perception as you move through impossible structures. Each puzzle challenges not only your logic, but the way you understand the world around you. Approach each challenge from different angles to find your way forward.
Step into a place of vast, silent spaces, shifting architecture — a world that feels alien and inhuman, yet strangely intentional… and not entirely welcoming. Is the Artifact simply a structure, or something more?
What happened to those who entered the Artifact? And what part of the protagonist’s past refuses to let him go?
Through abandoned recordings and fragmented notes scattered across a space station, follow the traces of a vanished expedition and piece together a deeply personal story about curiosity and the limits of the human mind.
Explore two contrasting environments: the space station is bright, vivid and human, filled with signs of life and the remains of the expedition. In contrast, the Artifact is cold and minimalistic, full of impossible geometry and silent corridors.
Find your way within a mysterious artifact and unveil a non-ordinary story.

Awesome game!
Really interesting concept. Was expecting a bit more puzzles like Relicta or Q.U.B.E., but it tells a really good story, and the puzzles to solve are well made, as is the level design. Definitely one for people who like story-driven games.
Holy Smokes, Folks! I was not expecting this level of quality, worldbuilding, and well-structured narrative. Cognition Method is a hard(ish) retro-futurist sci-fi adventure akin to The Invincible, Alien: Isolation (minus the xenomorph), and the Deliver Us franchise, or, to a lesser degree ADR1FT, The Alters, and Aphelion. It differs itself from these titles, however, by focusing on cerebral puzzle solving and an aesthetic heavily inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, Sphere, and Solaris (novel? USSR film? USA film? not sure). The experience plays like a major studio, mid-budget game—which I mean as a compliment of the highest order. The environmental design is absolutely flawless (knowing now that the game's lead developer was a former environment artist on Cyberpunk 2077 makes total sense, because the level of visual polish is incredible *chef's kiss*). It captures that brutalist, minimalist, sterile-yet-beautiful cassette-futurism perfectly. I was originally expecting to be dropped into a generic, sci-fi inspired liminal space-odyssey-flavored-backrooms game—but I was so wrong... and I'm glad of it. I do not feel that the trailers or marketing do this game justice as I had no indication that it was going to be this well developed. Instead of just aimlessly wandering through creepy corridors, you are actively investigating a silent space station and a genuinely fascinating, surreal alien artifact (dare I say...monolith?). The narrative is deeply philosophical and respects one's intelligence. Meanwhile, the actual gameplay relies heavily on brilliant, mind-bending gravity-manipulation mechanics (which, if it weren't for the brilliant narrative context - would drive me to the brink of insanity). The physics puzzles forces one to completely reorient one's perception of the surrounding space, perfectly tying into the game's theme of psychological and cognitive exploration. Cognition Method is completely independent and handcrafted by a tiny (obviously) passion-driven team, and yet it feels tighter and more cohesive than half of the AAA sci-fi releases we've seen in recent years. Players that are seeking a slow-burn, atmospheric, and deeply cerebral sci-fi mystery with complex puzzle-mechanics, should definitely consider investing in this fantastic experience.
I'm so tired of paying money just to feel like a moron. there's no hints about what to do, you're just stuck there. good luck. the demo was not this hard. now what? what do I do now? just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sit here until my brain gets it? not fun at all. morons want to play your game too.
Гра хороша, сподіваюся, вона матиме успіх, і маю надію, що наступний проєкт не включатиме російську, інакше я його не підтримаю. Час еволюціонувати
