Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Cockroach! is an amusing desktop idle game that turns one of the world's least-loved insects into the center of a surprisingly entertaining experience. Rather than offering a traditional adventure filled with objectives and progression, it focuses on creating a playful distraction that lives directly on your desktop. The concept is intentionally simple, inviting players to watch virtual cockroaches roam across their screen while they work, browse, or simply enjoy the novelty of having animated pests invade their digital workspace. Its unusual premise gives it an immediate identity, and the game embraces its quirky nature without trying to be anything more complicated than a fun interactive desktop companion. The primary gameplay revolves around observing and interacting with the roaming cockroaches. Players can click on the insects to squash them, producing exaggerated sound effects that add a satisfying layer of humor to every successful hit. Although the mechanics are straightforward, the constantly moving insects keep players engaged by encouraging quick reactions and occasional bursts of attention. The game captures the odd satisfaction of eliminating an unwanted pest while transforming it into a harmless and lighthearted activity that can be enjoyed in short sessions throughout the day. A welcome feature is the variety of behavior modes available for the insects. Players can choose a more relaxed experience where cockroaches appear only from time to time, maintain a constant presence for ongoing amusement, or unleash an overwhelming swarm that covers the desktop with crawling bugs. These customization options give users control over how chaotic or subtle they want the experience to be, making the game suitable both as a casual novelty and as a prank-like desktop decoration that surprises anyone looking at the screen. Despite its minimalist design, Cockroach! includes several features that extend its replay value beyond simply clicking insects. The hunt for the rare Legendary Golden Roach introduces an enjoyable collectible element that encourages players to keep the application running in hopes of encountering the elusive prize. A dedicated Challenge Mode adds additional objectives for players seeking a bit more structure, while Steam achievements and online leaderboards provide further motivation for those who enjoy chasing completion or competing for higher rankings. The presentation is intentionally uncomplicated, but it serves the game's purpose extremely well. The cockroaches are animated convincingly enough to create the illusion of insects crawling naturally across the desktop, making the effect both amusing and slightly unsettling. Since the visuals prioritize movement over graphical complexity, they remain clear without consuming unnecessary system resources. Sound effects complement the presentation nicely, especially the exaggerated squashing noises that reinforce the game's comedic tone and make interacting with the insects consistently entertaining. As with most novelty titles, the experience does have limitations. Players looking for a deep gameplay loop, extensive progression systems, or complex mechanics may eventually feel that they have explored everything the game has to offer. However, this is not the type of experience the developers set out to create. Instead, Cockroach! succeeds by delivering exactly what it promises: a humorous desktop toy that provides quick moments of entertainment without demanding a significant time commitment. Its focused design helps prevent unnecessary feature overload while preserving its simple charm. Another positive aspect is the inclusion of modern quality-of-life features such as Steam Cloud support, achievements, and leaderboards, making the game feel polished despite its intentionally modest scope. The developers have also been transparent about using AI-assisted tools for some visual assets and localization, while the game's overall concept and interactive design remain firmly centered on their own creative vision. Overall, Cockroach! is a creative and memorable indie title that proves even the simplest ideas can become entertaining when executed with confidence. By combining desktop integration, multiple activity modes, collectible objectives, challenge-based gameplay, and playful interaction, it offers a refreshing alternative to more traditional idle games. It will not appeal to players seeking lengthy campaigns or complex mechanics, but those who enjoy quirky desktop experiences and unconventional indie projects will likely find plenty of reasons to smile every time another virtual cockroach scurries across their screen. A somewhat silly app in which cockroaches randomly run across your desktop, and you need to splatter them by clicking on them with the left mouse button. This can be a bit annoying because the cockroaches are fast and run away from your mouse cursor, so you'll often accidentally double click on icons in the background. There are several types of cockroaches, and you get a short message the first time you splatter a new one. Some are very rare, and you'll have to keep splattering them for quite a while before you're lucky enough for them to appear. Fortunately, there's an option to increase the spawn rate, giving you more chances to find them, although luck is still a major factor. The goal is to discover every type, after which you unlock Challenge Mode - smash as many as you can in one minute.
