Click Space Miner isn't really a proper game, it's just a lazy 2D browser/Flash-tier "number incrementer" game where the object of the game is to increase the in-game currency by clicking, and sometimes buying things that increase the rate at which your currency/score goes up. It's an incredibly shallow game loop, to the point you might as well just run a program that does "i=i+1; print i" and watch the numbers go up automatically, and just watch it. You'd get the exact same outcome. If this sounds completely mindless, you're not wrong. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features somewhat lazy, simplistic "retro" looking 2D graphics, and it's hard to say if this is due to the age of the assets used, if it's a deliberate attempt for the game to look bad/retro on purpose, or if the assets are just, well, terrible looking. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game in 2024, such poor quality 2D graphics in the 3D era just aren't good enough, whether it's a deliberate design fault on behalf of the developer or they just couldn't manage to do any better, this is a compromise gamers shouldn't have to put up with. There is an animated asteroid that spins around, that looks nice, but as far as I can tell this is really just a 2D video. I can't stress enough how valueless this game is. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the GameMaker Studio construction kit/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset favoured by amateur developers as it's cheap and requires little in the way of development skill, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. GameMaker Studio is most commonly used to make retro pixel shovelware and cash grabs. A strong argument can be made that construction kits like GameMaker Studio should never be used to make games for profit, as the "developer", SimplexGameStudio has done here. These construction kits are intended to teach people some of the basic principles of game development, and to make small demos to pass around with friends. They're not intended to replace to actual work of real, professional game developers. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers. The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2024 (and this was released not so far back in 2016), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Click Space Miner is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
es horriblemente malo... pesimo lo peor que e visto nunca.
This is one of the most life changing games I have ever and i mean ever played This game has it all from tight controls and vivid visuals the sound track will melt your mind!!!! THIS IS A MUST PLAY 10/10 if you have not bought this game what are you doing with your life. my best comparison is the witcher 3 and even thats a bit much. I have 132 games on steam but all the time i find myself playing this games is so goooood it crazy that you dont see and the big youtubers playing it and getting 10000000000 views PLZ buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't get the point of the game. Do I win? Do I lose? I made tons of money. Went afk, made even more money. Come back, still making money. Nothing to do. Deleted. :)
Wer zwei oder drei Mäuse auf Lager hat kann sich auch für den Preis das Spiel zulegen.
The game doesn't save and just crashes at some point. After that happens, you have to start all over again. This game isn't even worth playing if you have an auto clicker. I would ask steam for a refund, but I only paid $0.49 for the game. If you want a cheap game to inflate your library number, this is the game for you.
I'm so glad i this somehow wasn't a crypto miner
I got into this game and I was doing pretty good until it randomly kicked me out to the menu and so I pressed the start button again and I lost lost my progress. Do not get this game!
