I knew what I was getting into when I got the game. It's basically a novel ... I've actually just ran from every fight encounter and played/read the game. About 40 minutes in I'll stop for now because the story isn't done yet and I don't want to get get started without knowing if there is a conclusion. Good so far. Uses my middle name as a character name which probably scored some bonus points with me.

(Recieved the game key from a developer.) For being a game in development, I was surprised by the quantity of items, equipment, weapons and enemies there are through the game. It has a really good turn-based combat system which is really fluent and dynamic. Each chapter has it’s own difficulty, which made me be aware of which equipment my characters were using in order not to lose against bosses. The VFX, OST and animations are really good too. Would love it to have a story in order to be more interesting from that point of view. Surely this game has potential.
its not an explore rpg game its just a novel with gameplay if you like reading books , play this game if you want to explore the world with your character , play something else i like reading books and i enjoy the story but for the dev, please, can you add some adult scene im serious
Well, I was contacted by the Dev and received the Game Key to do a Review talking about the game! So, when I started playing, I found the proposal quite interesting, but I was a little surprised by the lack of a narrative. So, as a lover of games of this style (JRPG) I was slightly disappointed by this. But, as I was playing I noticed the whimsy in the character models, in the mechanics of the battle (in turns, like a good jrpg), the huge amount of items and spells and I started to really like this style of game. The soundtrack was also chosen with great care, punctuating the battles and their unfolding well. In addition, the difficulty of the battle, with a system of "Weakness" and "Def Break" is very well worked, the characters are very useful and have several abilities that add to the game and that gradually captivated me. To conclude, in my opinion, it lacks a bit of narrative content but in all other aspects, Clarent Saga Chronicles stands up to other traditional JRPG's because the game was very well built in these mechanics and, if it is polished a little more, it will become a memorable work of the genre. I appreciate the opportunity to have tested the game and I wish Dev the best of luck and success, as he already has plenty of talent.
A competent RPG that (surprisingly) is just long enough to feel complete without overstaying its welcome. SFX, BGM, UI, VFX are all pretty good.i really loved how can you go in Cheat Zone and check all bosses and enemys but what i didnt liked was when i died in cheat room i had to start from begining.difficulty is balanced , after choicing hard mode i really felt challange .this game is pretty nostalgic with its music and graphics. Nevertheless, it pretty solid in just about every regard but sometimes manages to really shine in some aspect. 8/10
(Recieved the game key from a developer.) For a game in such an early stage I was surprised by the amount of content and items in the game. Combat was nice with the various abilities and the different characters you have, boss fights were scary for sure but pretty rewarding. The art style was cool but I feel like it was a little dull color wise, but definitely has huge potential. I imagine some type of story or a bigger sense of progression is in the works and I'm definitely excited to see it later on in the development stage. For sure would love to come back to it later on and judging from the update logs everything is headed in the right direction.
(I got this Game for free by the developer) Before buying this be aware that this is an early access of the game and doesn't has the story/exploration in the game. Right now you can only experience the battle style of the game and how will it look like.
What Is Available Right Now ? :
Of right after posting this review you can learn the basic of combat system, how will it work, what types of power-up you have, etc. There is a chapter system but that will only contains combats. In each chapter you will face against different monsters and bosses. You can chose the difficulty lv for extra challenge. After clearing some chapter you will unlock new char to try out, and buy new items to make your party more powerful. And if your lazy and wana skip some stuff then there is a cheat system as well.
Should You Buy It Right Now ? :
If you just want to experience the game then "Yes" buy it and have fun testing out the battle. But if you want a story or explore then "No" and wait for a patch note from the dev when it will arrives/releases.
a lot of things to do, at least thats what main character does, and we are the player, just read what our character do and done. and I always wonder what will happen next. RECOMENDED!
