Before I played CityWarHeroes VR, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
It's a fun free wave shooter, however, it's pretty rough but still worth a download.
OK, I actually like this game, but I had to choose up or down and in current state I can't honestly recommend! I am technically reviewing this on the first day of early access (I think) so I'll be gentle. Currently it's singleplayer only with 3 different maps/gameplay modes: Guard, Destroy, and Boss. Guard, you have to defeat different waves, destroy is trying to last as long as you can, and boss, you're trying to kill that big boss alien. As far as things I liked, I found the menu area tasteful and fairly easy to navigate. The maps themselves are fun to look around, but you can't do too much sightseeing or the aliens will kill you lol. As someone who is interested in Korea, it's cool to see the maps in different locations in Incheon and read the various hangul signs. For what appears to be a limited developer effort (?), the variety of enemies and weapons is commendable, if not super extensive. I did find it fun and challenging when I had to switch between weapons and remember how the specific new weapon had to be used. Funnily enough, I didn't realize you also had a shield until after the majority of my gameplay so far, but that is pretty cool too. My favorite map was the first one (Guard), but the boss fight was pretty neat. All this said, this game is not without faults nor is it anything spectacular. Especially in training, it was frustrating that I couldn't appear to be able to drop a weapon without switching a weapon, and sometimes my body felt like it wasn't quite where it should be. When fighting the boss, it was hard to tell at first what I was doing and if my technique really damaged him; confusingly enough he would appear to die, but then come back to life and I didn't know if this was an endless fight or just a small wound he survived. Most saddening was that there's no movement in the game, which in it's current state I can see would significantly change and challenge the gameflow, but if multiplayer is added, I think would be a must have. Talking about multiplayer, that's a very big undertaking by the developer and I'm skeptical but hopeful. As is, there's not a whole lot that will have me coming back to this game. I think if I could navigate around the map, that would make it several magnitudes more fun, even if multiplayer never comes about. For instance, in Guard, say there was a special item in the center of the map and you could move around freely, but had to keep the separate waves from reaching the target, then it would be much more interesting. Or imagine running around Bupyeong station just trying to stay alive as long as possible. All in all, I know it's early access, but it feels like a demo so it's not something I'll come back to very much.
Ładny i kolorowy wave shooter. No i za darmo
