Circus of Pain

Очень неплохой представитель инди хорроров. Мрачная атмосфера. интересные загадки, которые не злят, а довольно быстро решаются. Хороший звук, и что приятно - есть русская озвучка. Из минусов - пожалуй только один, но он довольно существенный. Как и у 95% инди хорроров, это прям болезнь жанра, тут оч слабый сюжет. Из за этого - игровой процесс воспринимается как набор игровых сцен, разрозненных друг от друга. Как будто всё это происходит не с одним героем, а с несколькими. Я считаю, что разработчикам нужно двигаться в этом направлении, прорабатывать предысторию, давать какой то эпилог. Circus of Pain sits in a genre that I’m personally not super drawn to. I’m not a huge fan of circus or clown horror games—and that’s not because I’m scared of them. Honestly, it’s the opposite. They just don’t really scare me, so they don’t always hit that “good horror” sweet spot for me. That said—that does NOT mean this was a bad game. Because it wasn’t. Personal preferences aside, I actually had a really good time playing this. The scenery was genuinely cool, and the way the map was laid out made exploring fun. There were a lot of interesting locations and set pieces that kept things visually engaging the whole way through. For most people, this game is probably going to be very scary. But then again… I play horror games for a living, so my fear meter is a little broken. Gameplay? Solid. Graphics? Very nice. Story? Better than I expected, honestly. Even though circus horror isn’t usually my thing, Circus of Pain won me over on execution alone. I enjoyed it, and I’d absolutely recommend it—not based on my personal theme preferences, but based on the quality of the game itself. If you like creepy environments, unsettling visuals, and a well-put-together horror experience, this one is worth checking out. 🎪👀

I had lots of fun with this game! Of course, it's rough around the edges and could use some polishing, but I'd like to see the whole picture of the game and the thought behind it - and I liked it. Fun puzzles, the transitions from when turning around and the enironments has completley changed was great, the SAW-inspired traps. I enjoyed this. The only critisism I have is the AI voice of the protagonist which wasn't great. It threw me off a little bit. Reach out to forums and communities who would like to perform as VA if you can't yourself. People will do it for free because it's fun. It adds so much to a game.
