Updated to the latest version 4.0.1 and CineVR is completely broken on WMR headsets such as my Samsung Odyssey. Bugs so far: #1 No WMR Controller Support (can't control or use keyboard to make account, can't do anything) #2 CineVR doesn't detect sitting position correctly. You'll be about 10 feet too high. Only work around so far, is to load a program like Skybox or Bigscreen Beta first, and then launch CineVR. #3 CineVR is not shutting down properly when you exit the application in Steam. You have to Force Quit CineVR from the Windows desktop. CineVR looks like it could be interesting to use, but the newest version is completely broken at least on my WMR Samsung Odyssey headset. Maybe someday this will get fixed.

CineVR is awesome! It is able to play Full-SBS/TB 3D movies from your PC in a massive cinema. Works great with my Odyssey+ headset. The video is super smooth and the sound is great through both headset and external speakers. This is how I'm going to watch 3D movies from now on even though I have a 3D TV! Other apps I tried: I tried Bigscreen Beta and while it looks a bit more polished, playing 24p movies is extremely juddery as it captures your desktop with 30fps and it does only support Half-SBS/TB 3D unless you have a 4k Monitor I guess. I also tried Skybox which works great but has washed out colors on Odyssey+. Edit: This issue is fixed now (ver 2.0.1) Possible improvements: - One thing that bugs me is the brightness of the audience. It looks like the avatars are not effected by the movie's ambient lighting. Especially in dark scenes they glow like everyone is playing with their smartphone, while I try to enjoy the movie. Please FIX this or provide a button to disable the audience or simply not render them. - I don't really care for the social feature at least until now where everyone is watching their own movie in the same room. I'd be fine just watching with bots or create a private room with friends instead of having random people automatically joining me during a movie. I mute the audience and myself anyway... Other than that I recommend to try this app if you like watching movies especially 3D movies in a big Cinema and have a decent vr headset. It's FREE although you can support the developer by buying popcorn :D. If you're on a PC I recommend to use supersampling as it gives you that extra clarity for movies. I was able to turn on 5x SS on my beafy machine. Keep up the great work! EDIT: No longer works with WMR headsets, can't get past the login screen. Why do I need an account anyway, if I just want to stream my own movies....
Tried it with the HP Reverb G2 and the latest WMR controllers. ( Ones without the touch-pad ). It works fine with the exception of the theater selection option. I have to hold down the grab button on either controller and flick the WMR stick left or right for it to move after a massive input delay. Way too much trouble than it's worth. I also have the original WMR controllers with the touch-pad and that doesn't work at all. No pointer appears with the theater lobby and I can't select anything at all. Very frustrating experience to say he least. Too bad really because it looks like alot of work went into creating the theaters just to fall short on something so minor like menu selections. I have mixed feelings about this app because it does work with the default theater and my HP Reverb G2 WMR controllers but I can't select another theater to try because of the massive input delays and random crashes. If you use the default theater you should be ok but it leaves much to be desired. I will give it a thumbs up because the potential is there, just needs a little polishing. I was able to navigate into my system directories and playback HD standard videos and 3D VR videos without a problem.
