Slipping between the past and present, a child puzzles their way through a crumbling toy factory filled with the remnants of its child workers and the grudges they bear.

Great atmosphere and visual effects. Very cool indie project
Before I played Chrysalis Inc., I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
So... The past and present mechanic is used... okay in the early stages. Not great but okay. I do not know about later stages for obvious reasons. Not a lot of controls and they put sprint on the shoulder button. No way to move it. At least they weren't trying to force me to deal with rumble every tenth of a second. But not being able to reconfigure buttons it's never a good idea to use the more difficult to reach controls like the shoulder buttons unless you have to. And not for sprint in a spooky game. But what caused me to quit was the arbitrary deaths. And I mean... this is a horror type game. If I have no idea why my character just died you are definitely doing something wrong. The first time I was bopping along on the conveyor belt I was touching something. And I thought maybe that killed me. But I'd been touching it before so it seemed unlikely. But there wasn't anything else around. No zaps or gunshot sounds. So, I had no idea what else might have happened. The second time I made sure not to touch anything. And died for no discernible reason. The character just suddenly l knelt over and was dead. No visible or audible reason for it. So, I quit. Not worth it. And, as I'm coming here to write a very negative review I happen to notice that I've gotten an achievement for being killed by a "security scan." Since I could tell the rather few other places I got killed what had happened I'm assuming that the red florescent light in the background that was not particularly shining on anything must have been the security scan that used invisible magic on me. Because there was NOTHING ELSE THERE. If I need to quit and see an achievement to know what killed me in ANY type of game you have done a poor job. But in a spooky the game... Don't give up your day job. So, this was early enough on that I figured it was, indeed, not worth the effort to continue. If one out of three deaths are going to be unexplained then that's not a good ratio at all. Certainly not good enough to continue. So here I am giving you this warning. The art is decent. The story is, at the point I quit, completely opaque. They seem to be using the extremely tired trope of "you don't know who you are or why you are here" to explain the characters presence in what appears to be a manikin factory. I'll never know the rest. The artwork is the only thing positive I have to say about this. My main point is, don't waste your time. Free or not, this is not worth it... Which is too bad. I think if they had fleshed things out bit at the beginning and paid more attention to the game-play than they did they might have had something here. Sadly, they didn't. Selva does not recommend this game.

Good graphics and gameplay... until the game froze.
best game, ign 11/10
