If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place. Ingredients: 1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 2. 1/2 cup white sugar 3. 1/2 cup brown sugar 4. 1/4 cup water 5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 6. 1 pinch salt 7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced 8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). 2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. 3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices. 4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal. 5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Seems like it could be very fun once there's anything to it, as it is right now though I can't recommend it at all, for most people it's just not worth the time with the barest bones of a game, literally less than you'd expect from an alpha build. I'll change my review if/when there's updates, but genuinely this shouldn't be available at all yet, there's not even really enough of a game to play test. Pros: I like the art style The premise seems like good fun Cons: Trailer is wildly misleading and the actual game is far less complete than suggested (even the enemy health drops are neater in the trailer) The menus are terrible in that temporary/unfinished way as well as being wildly lacking, offering nothing for controls or sound. Crouch does this weird thing where it just lowers your third person camera. There is seemingly no sprint with no way to check since there is nowhere to even view the keybindings. (and the default movement is painfully slow) The sounds are either nonexistent or much too loud and far to abrupt. There is no actual gameplay other than walking around and spamming the one kind of attack. The total lack of gameplay doesn't matter because the enemy's almost never work properly, they either don't actually agro and just kind of walk against you or they flail their attacks in the open space with seemingly no interest in hitting you. Pretty much everything wrong with it at this point can be summarised as 'not nearly finished enough to tell'. Trying to review this game is like having someone throw baking powder in your face and ask 'how are my pancakes'. It doesn't matter how much you might like pancakes when you've reviewing a mouthful of baking powder.

Warning: Asset Flip! Chrono Rift is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is a bunch of Synty fantasy assets slapped on a barebones basic third person shooter blueprint for Unreal... the "developer" didn't even bother trying to turn this into a game, this is a pre-alpha made up of other people's game assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Chrono Rift", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work... at least that was the intent. Like I said, this is just in the primitive pre-alpha stage. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
