OK for a bit, but later levels are pretty much dependent on luck, and you can't complete them in time without using a bunch of limited power ups. I am Ok with power ups on a timed game, but you should have a chance to win without using a bunch of them.
Enjoyable Match-3 game with a Christmas theme. You earn coins to complete decorating a scene.
Christmas Puzzle is yet another of literally hundreds of mobile app Match-3/Bejewelled/Candy Crush ripoff games infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one was published on Steam instead of app stores back in 2017, and remains something largely valueless as there's a million match-3 games you can play for free in your web browser or on mobile app stores. However, the developers of this one expect you to give them money for something you could play for free. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes Christmas Puzzle might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 16 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 130,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 130,000+ games on Steam? Christmas Puzzle has the far too high price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. Charging $10 for this kind of shovelware seems beyond delusional optimism, and we must wonder if the developer is running some kind of scam. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter", "Cities: Skylines" or "Grand Theft Auto V". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
What a boring and tedious game. All levels feel the same. You only have 1 power-up - a hammer. And it fills up very slowly. If you have no moves left on the board, guess what? The game doesn't reshuffle the whole board, but forces you to use the hammer, if that doesn't help - delete another of you hammers! Yay!.... uh. This game is mechanically broken. I've never played a match 3 game where once you make a match, the empty slots fill-in in unpredictable zigzags. This makes the game have no strategy, no logic, and no tactics, just pure random luck! If you want to get all the 3 stars for each level - enjoy replaying the same levels for quite a few times because of this. Music has only 1 track and it's only about a minute long, and the loop is very noticeable. Actually, one of the worst if not the worst of match 3 games I've ever played.
Отличная игра 3 в ряд, проходим уровни зарабатывая монетки, и украшаем дом к Рождеству.
A festive puzzle game for when you want to match three but also celebrate Christmas, because otherwise you're a grinch, and you're not a grinch are you? Even if you are it's still fun to match three. https://youtu.be/2Vn94LCIeW4
Christmas Puzzle is your typical 3 match puzzle game with 80 puzzles, one power up and some gimmicks. It seems to do what’s expected but it does have one major issue. It’s a stressful game if you care about getting 3 stars on all levels and the achievement associated with it. It starts off easy enough but then the puzzles become annoying, luck plays a huge role and the timer becomes extremely strict for the stars. Maybe I got unusually unlucky but often it felt like I had the worst luck. Even if you don’t care about getting the stars, some of the puzzles took unnaturally long due to the tediousness of it all. On top of all that, the puzzle pieces don’t drop in the order you would expect. Instead of dropping to the bottom when you clear a space, they drop to the left or right side. It is weird and harder to plan around. I felt exhausted playing the game and kept wondering if I was missing something obvious. Again, while it feels like it does things right for the genre, something feels wrong. It’s currently on sale for €6 on steam and I don’t think it’s worth it. There are better options out there, perhaps the sequels might do a better job. I spent around 12.5 hours getting all achievements except for the one related to getting 3 stars.
A game to help you remind of all the Christmas imagery! There are beautiful backgrounds and fun Christmasy songs. Oh and you get to design your own... cabin in the woods! Don't worry, it is serene and peaceful and not horror-like at all. I swear. So you do your Match-3 level and then no matter how many stars you get, you still get 10 coins. Oh and if you like a challenging Match-3 games? You came to the right place. There is a timer down below that will keep you on your toes. I sometimes blink and it is almost half way done. Wait a second, did you say you actually want a relaxed/casual game? Then just ignore the timer and do your own thing! When the timer runs out: you get one star, but at least your heart will be at a resting state. Gotta point out one thing... on level 74 that is (there are 80 levels btw)... okay on that level, there are 4 empty blocks up above where items are supposed to come out of. Unless that's just my game of course. You can still pass it... just interesting. So okay, did you get all that? Good! Now go ahead and have some fun. Make decisions on your own time. Thank you for the very challenging game!!! :> :) =)
Christmas Puzzle is a nice puzzle game kinda like a candy crush but with a festive ambiant. It's the game we like to play for hours, it's really addictive and I highly recommend it!!! 🎄🎁❤️
