About
This game directly brings together restaurant management and suspense. While you prepare and deliver customer orders on time, you also have to deal with different threats that hunt you. Restoring power quickly during outages, checking the cameras before stepping outside, remembering to look behind you, and neutralizing the sniper that targets you if you go too far; all are part of survival.
The kitchen side is clear and practical: buy products, check and stock what comes out of boxes, set up fridge and shelf organization, cook, and deliver the right menu to the customer.

Orders and delivery: Prepare the menu customers want and take it to the correct table.
Shopping and stocking: Procure boxes; check their contents and place items in fridges and on shelves.
Cooking system: Prepare ingredients in the correct order, cook, and serve.
A hunter who enters the restaurant to search for you.
A presence that appears behind you and kills you if you don’t look.
Power outage: If you don’t restore it, you die.
Camera check: If you go outside without checking, you die.
Sniper: If you go too far you become a target; if you don’t neutralize him in time, you die.
Camera monitoring: If you go outside without checking cameras, you die. Before stepping out, monitor security cameras and time your move correctly.
Time and money management: Manage your time and money well. Earn enough cash, buy a sniper rifle to eliminate the enemy on the roof, and reach the ending by 24:00.

Для тех кто хотел побывать на адской кухне. Игра с одной жизнью и постоянно держит в напряжении. Симулятор повара на которого все охотятся. Нужно бороться всё время за свою безопасность и выживание. https://youtu.be/bR73CgO9fQU
[strike]The 'New Game' button doesn't work. I can't play at all. I installed the game on three separate devices and had no luck. I'll watch for an update, and if I can play, I'll reassess my review.[/strike] Now that I've played the game, it's pretty alright for half an hour. The events that can happen get a bit annoying after a while, so I dropped the difficulty down to easy. The food items in the game are very basic, and there's no worry about things going cold or rotten, so that's a bonus, I guess? At £2.11, it's alright.
When the game initially dropped it was unplayable. Now that it is fixed, it is still kind of unplayable. I'll explain. This game is visually dark af. The main issue is the one assassin that kills the power to the restaurant. Even eith the brightness and gamma settings cranked to the point you can't see anything on the in-game computer screen to order stuff you need, you still can't see much pf anything. I found it impossible to see the cutting board, grill, ingredients, etc. to prerpare dishes. That aside, the tutorials could be bette, not to mention some kind of explanation for the assassins. Yeah, some are kind of common sense like thr buther being you outrun him then hide, but to find out to beat the other two I had to resort to the achievements list. All in all cannot recomend simply due to the darkness bug that hits following the assassin that kills the power. Hopefully the devs can fix this.
Chopping Hour is an unconventional indie experience developed and published by Halvenor that merges restaurant management with survival horror in a way that few games attempt. What begins as a seemingly routine job of operating a small restaurant gradually transforms into a stressful struggle for survival, where serving customers is only half of the challenge. The other half involves staying alive in a workplace filled with mysterious dangers, hostile entities, and unexpected threats. By combining two vastly different genres, the game creates a distinctive identity that immediately stands out among both simulation and horror titles. The management side of the experience is surprisingly detailed. Players are responsible for maintaining every aspect of the restaurant's operation, from ordering supplies and unpacking deliveries to organizing storage areas and preparing meals. Customer satisfaction depends on how efficiently orders are handled, making time management an essential skill. Every task contributes to the restaurant's profitability, creating a satisfying gameplay loop where organization and efficiency directly influence success. Unlike many casual cooking games, Chopping Hour requires players to actively manage their workspace and resources rather than simply complete isolated food preparation activities. The game's true uniqueness emerges through the constant presence of danger. While players are focused on serving customers and maintaining operations, a variety of deadly threats lurk within and around the restaurant. This transforms ordinary responsibilities into stressful decisions because every action carries an element of risk. Delivering food to a table, checking inventory, or leaving a room may expose players to danger if they become careless. The tension generated by this uncertainty becomes one of the game's most effective qualities, ensuring that even routine activities remain engaging. Several different survival mechanics contribute to the atmosphere. Players must monitor security systems, remain aware of their surroundings, and respond quickly to unusual events. Certain enemies can only be avoided through careful observation, while others demand immediate action when they appear. Environmental hazards further complicate matters, creating situations where players must divide their attention between restaurant duties and personal safety. The constant need to multitask under pressure gives the game a unique rhythm that differs significantly from traditional horror experiences. The surveillance mechanics play a particularly important role in maintaining suspense. Security cameras are more than decorative features; they become essential tools for gathering information and avoiding danger. Regularly checking camera feeds allows players to track threats and plan their next moves accordingly. This system creates an enjoyable layer of strategy, rewarding players who remain vigilant while punishing those who become distracted by their daily responsibilities. The balance between observation and action helps sustain tension throughout the experience. Financial progression also contributes meaningfully to gameplay. Earning money is not simply about achieving a higher score or expanding the business. Income can be used to obtain equipment and resources that improve survival prospects. This gives the economic system greater importance than in many management games, as every successful shift potentially brings players closer to overcoming some of the dangers surrounding them. The connection between business success and personal survival creates a compelling incentive to perform well. The game's pacing benefits from the contrast between calm and chaos. There are moments when players can focus entirely on restaurant operations, organizing inventory and fulfilling orders without interruption. These quieter periods create a false sense of security that makes sudden threats even more effective when they appear. The constant transition between management and horror keeps the experience unpredictable and prevents gameplay from becoming repetitive. Visually, Chopping Hour adopts a practical presentation that prioritizes functionality and atmosphere. The restaurant environment feels like a believable workspace while also serving as the stage for the game's unsettling events. Important locations, equipment, and security systems are easy to identify, helping players manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. While the visual design remains relatively modest, it effectively supports both the simulation and horror aspects of the experience. What makes Chopping Hour memorable is its willingness to combine mechanics that rarely coexist. Restaurant simulators typically focus on efficiency and routine, while horror games thrive on uncertainty and disruption. By bringing these opposing ideas together, Halvenor creates a game where success requires both careful management and constant vigilance. The result is an experience that feels fresh, unpredictable, and surprisingly tense. Players who enjoy unusual genre combinations, management challenges, and survival-focused gameplay will likely find plenty to appreciate here. Although its niche concept may not appeal to everyone, Chopping Hour succeeds in delivering something genuinely different from most indie releases. Its blend of restaurant operations, strategic resource management, and persistent horror elements creates an engaging experience that remains memorable long after the final shift ends. Rating: 6/10
