It's an average-to-mediocre physics puzzle where you interact with tiles in the level so the ball reaches the goal. Since there are tons of the same game and I came back to review these games after seeing them in my library again, I can't tell whether the physics in this game specifically are jank or not. However, I do remember inconsistent physics in the series in general. Also, once you've played one, you've played all of them. The game itself is probably okay, but it's not worth money. Oh my... I suck in these games. Apparently only takes 25 min to 100%, but took me 1.7 hours.
Good game!
Chocolate makes you happy: Easter is a lighthearted, seasonal physics puzzle that leans fully into cheerful presentation and approachable design rather than complexity or narrative ambition. Developed and published by Blender Games, the game is part of a broader series built around simple, candy-themed challenges, and this Easter-focused entry embraces that identity with pastel colors, festive decorations, and a relaxed pace. From the outset, it positions itself as a casual experience meant to be enjoyed in short sessions, offering gentle problem-solving wrapped in a playful holiday atmosphere. The core objective across the game’s levels is straightforward but surprisingly flexible: keep cookies, candies, or sweets balanced on a chocolate bar for a set amount of time. Achieving this requires interacting with a variety of physics-driven elements that influence how objects move and behave. Jump pads, conveyor belts, teleporters, gravity modifiers, accelerators, and traps are gradually introduced, each adding a new layer of cause-and-effect reasoning. Rather than asking players to solve abstract logic puzzles, the game encourages experimentation, observation, and timing, rewarding those who learn how different mechanics interact with one another in motion. Progression is structured across fifty distinct levels, and the difficulty curve is paced with accessibility in mind. Early stages focus on teaching individual mechanics in isolation, allowing players to build confidence and familiarity without pressure. As the game advances, later levels combine multiple elements at once, requiring more careful planning and patience. While the puzzles never become brutally difficult, they do occasionally demand repeated attempts, especially when precise timing or delicate balance is involved. These moments create a satisfying sense of trial and error without ever feeling punishing or unfair. Visually, Chocolate makes you happy: Easter commits fully to its festive theme. The environments are bright and colorful, filled with Easter eggs, flowers, butterflies, and sweet-themed props that reinforce the game’s playful tone. The art style is intentionally simple and cartoonish, prioritizing clarity and charm over detail or realism. This works well for a physics-based puzzle game, as it keeps the focus on moving objects and interactive elements rather than visual clutter. Animations are functional rather than flashy, but they communicate physics interactions clearly, which is essential for understanding why a puzzle succeeds or fails. Sound design complements the visuals with upbeat, unobtrusive music and light sound effects that reinforce actions like bouncing, sliding, or teleporting objects. The audio never dominates the experience, instead serving as gentle feedback that keeps the mood relaxed. There is no story or dialogue to speak of, but this absence feels intentional rather than lacking, as the game’s identity is built entirely around mechanics and presentation rather than narrative context. One area where the game extends its appeal is through its achievement system. With a large number of Steam achievements tied to level completion and experimentation, completion-oriented players have additional motivation to fully engage with the content. While these achievements don’t alter gameplay, they add an extra layer of replay value for those who enjoy checking off goals and perfecting levels. That said, the game is unapologetically niche. Players looking for deep mechanics, evolving systems, or meaningful variety beyond the core puzzle loop may find the experience repetitive over time. The fundamental objective remains consistent throughout, and while new mechanics refresh the challenge, the structure itself does not significantly change. However, for its intended audience—casual players, puzzle fans, and those seeking a festive, low-stress diversion—this consistency is more of a strength than a flaw. Ultimately, Chocolate makes you happy: Easter succeeds by delivering exactly what it promises: a cheerful, accessible physics puzzle experience with a seasonal twist. It doesn’t aim to innovate or surprise, but instead focuses on providing a steady stream of pleasant challenges wrapped in a charming Easter aesthetic. For players who enjoy casual puzzle games and appreciate lighthearted presentation over intensity or depth, it offers a satisfying and sweet experience that’s easy to pick up, enjoy, and return to at your own pace. Rating: 6/10
