This a game that is worth it's price due to its story and game play but would still not recommend. I did get a few game breaking glitches but I just restarted the game and that made it go away. I think the biggest issue I had is that there was no hint system or guidance system to my next objective. You have to rely on what the NPC's are saying in order to understand what you need to do to proceed and those are very vague. For example, I was stuck in a situation where I had almost completed my daily objectives and didn't know what else to do. I scoured the whole map trying to figure out what to do. Turns out I needed a small set of keys that was tucked away in the corner of the bath house to open a locked door. Of the 2.8 hours of game time, about 1 hour of it is searching for my next objective because I'm so lost on what to do. The mere hassle of this makes me not recommend it. And I feel that the ending is bugged because I tried for the good ending and only kept getting the bad ending. There's just too much annoyances to recommend it.

It's pretty buggy. After I completed the bathroom puzzle for the first time, everything went dark and the game froze. It only continued when you failed the puzzle. I also had to redo the steps to get the good ending, again after already having them done. Because a friendly person posted a guide about how you can finish the game even with bugs, I was able to complete it. The atmosphere is good as usual and a few jump scares really got me. I like all games from this franchise. Even with bugs, I'm glad I played it through.

(Link to play-through on Youtube below if anyone wants to see a gameplay sample) The Bathhouse is another decent horror game from Chilla's Art, but unfortunately it has been pulled from Steam due to a game-breaking bug that some players reported earlier this year. The bug in question prevents the player from opening a door that they need to open in order to progress. I imagine Chilla's Art pulled the game from sale because they felt they couldn't sell something in good conscience, knowing that it was defective. It's a shame, as there are workarounds that can be tried if the bug does crop up - but I respect the devs' decision and won't go on about it. As always, The Bathhouse has creepy analog visuals that lend themselves to an unsettling atmosphere. In a similar vein to previous Chilla's Art games such as The Convenience Store or The Closing Shift, The Bathhouse has the player take on a mundane job serving customers in a sento - only to find that the setting is anything but mundane, and is clearly haunted. Cue the remainder of the game, as you unravel the grisly secret hidden within the bathhouse's walls. The sound design serves the atmosphere well, and there are some good jump-scare moments (not too many, fortunately - just the right amount to give you a fright). As is often the case with these Chilla's Art games, there is more than one ending you can find - though you will probably need to consult a guide to get the good ending, as it requires you take certain steps in a particular order. But the game's community page has got you covered for that! Overall, I would definitely recommend it - not that this matters though, as sadly only those who purchased it before it was pulled can play it. It was a good game when it launched- I am sad to see it's discontinued. Love Chilla's Art Games and hope to see this come back.

Another day, another Chilla's Art horror game where you work a boring job while things slowly get spookier... The formula is getting pretty old now after a bazillion of these, I'd much rather see them do more of their survival horror games again. Anyways, the game is pretty buggy. It's even been de-listed thanks to one of them even though it can be fixed by deleting your savefile so it really shouldn't be that hard to fix (hell, just remove and rebuild the object that glitches.)
