Child of Lothian is a historically-accurate 3rd person stealth-adventure game where you play as an Orphan who has been robbed of her childhood as her family is put to trial during the 18th century Witch Hunt trials. The game takes place in the old town of Edinburgh.

Considering this was a student project, I have to say bravo its pretty nice. Lacking a few refinements such as more environmental distractions and consequences of been seen. The side quests are abit to fetch quest like to feel needed a simple wondering guard would of sufficed. Dont expect AAA testing, I had vibrating characters and the odd broken sidequest but nothing that stops progress through the story. Overall its a okay stealth game, feels like Shadwin but less vertical and no kill run or Plague Tale but with less variety and gloss. Give it go
My honest review: The gameplay is alright, but the game is super unoptimized. I have an rtx 3070 gpu yet I'm getting massive fps drops whenever I enter the market or an open space. This is not a graphics card issue or a RAM issue since I was able to play csgo with 300fps max graphics if you are wondering. The game also needs more polishing, adding more varieties of models, since every other interactable npc looks the same, and another thing that I've noticed is the grammar in the dialogue. I know the devs tried to write them in a Scottish accent but that is not what I mean. Some words were completely wrong and didn't fit the context as if the dialogue was rushed. Another thing I've noticed is that if you set your graphics to 'Very low' it will increase the gamma in game by about 150-200% which is insane since, if you have a bad PC and u need more fps I got bad news for you. You're gonna have to stare at the sun. I don't wanna sh!t on the game anymore so I will just have to call it a day. It's pretty good for a free game and I'm gonna say that this game is only worth playing if you're bored or have nothing to do, because you wont get much dopamine if you want to play it for fun.
não foi pra mim, joguei mto pouco mas já odiei a jogabilidade
The only thing I would want is more to the story. It ended on such a cliffhanger.
