Reviews
It's less of a visual novel and more of a boring walking simulator. Plus it's in windowed mode. I'm just going to assume what's-her-face's comedy club was a success, because I finally got too bored and uninstalled.
(non game complete review at 1 hour of play, part of my review all games I haven't played effort) (short version) A grain of sand in the desert, it's charming, enough kind of... A princess maker type visual novel, that if you're into it might work. No longer for sale on steam, so if you're reading this you're probally wondering if you should dust it off your library. (long version) There's nothing you haven't seen already if you've played another visual novel. Sadly I didn't really find any jokes to be had at all from this game. Sure the protag. tries, but none of them really hit for me. Most were ones I've heard a thousand times before and I guess the only + was none of them were really cringe. The good: The game is charming enough if you're in the mood for a relaxed princess maker type visual novel type game, but there are other ones that do it better (princess maker/doki doki/slay the princess/2064: Read Only Memories etc). The bad: The music was a major detractor and often broke immersion for me. My final straw for not going the full 1.5 hours, that I'm trying to do with all of my unplayed games, was when I hit the chit-chat text repeat. The most important thing in a visual novel is story. Even if it's not great, if it's at least new and engaging you can keep your player interested. The second my roommate starts talking like a town guard in final fantasy 1 I'm out. I forgave the dorm supervisor for the text repeats, but your roommate should be a fleshed out character not an NPC that says "Welcome to Corneria!"
Cherry Tree High Comedy Club: ¡Risas a Medio Gas!

I had no idea what this game was before I bought it back in 2012. I just remember playing through it for the first time as one of my early YouTube Let's Play series (on my original channel) and got one of the worst possible endings because my dumbass didn't understand what I was doing. Damn shame it isn't available anymore because I think its not bad at all and Visual Novel fans would enjoy.
This game is no longer purchasable! What a shame!
Better than the other Cherry Tree High, but still not recommended. Just left it on for the TCs.
More like Cherry Tree High Get friends for your comedy club am i right fellas?....
✅ Barely illegal anime waifus ✅ Bad writing and/or bad translations I dropped the game and picked up a book instead
