Welcome to Catworld!
Play as grandma, on a mission to find her lost cat. You followed it straight through an interdimensional portal into a mystical land made entirely for cats. No wonder it ended up here! With no way home and no leads, helping out the local Cat Café seems like your only option. Ponpon the owner claims to know exactly where your cat is, and he'll tell you, as soon as you run just one more errand...
Spot a cat, dive, and scoop them up! Cats are roaming everywhere in cat world, and some might prove to be a real catch. Find new cats and discover their unique abilities throughout Catworld!
Ponpon knows where your cat is, probably. Help him enough and he clears the way to for you to move deeper into the jungle: new areas, new cats, new secrets. The great Cat Tree is out there somewhere. Ponpon will definitely tell you once you've finished this last errand. This one. For real this time.
Colourful, strange, and completely cat themed. Every corner of the jungle has something going on. Wander far enough and you'll keep finding reasons to stay.
Chasing Whiskers is a cozy adventure for players who love exploring, collecting and catching cats!

A bit biased as the father of one of the devs, but this is genuinely fun to play! nice graphs, storyline and environments, great job!
A short cozy game about catching kitty meows. The game world is lush and beautiful, with many cats to catch. Some of the kitty meows even have unique abilities. This was a very chill 30~ minutes.
Great little game put together by students of Breda University. Has a Grandma as the protagonist, LOTS of cats and the "free" price tag so I was immediately sold. Has some broken achievements so if that's going to bother you then perhaps don't play the game - the students will move on to other things at the end of the school year so it's possible they'll never be fixed.

Chasing Whiskers is honestly a really cute game with a lot of charm The art direction is adorable and I love the whole concept of chasing and catching different kinds of cats. There’s definitely potential here considering how early in development the game feels right now. That said, the current build is very rough around the edges. Right from first launch I was confused because the menu said I already had a save file? (I just decided to press delete save) The settings are also extremely limited. there aren’t even input bindings yet. I played on an ultrawide monitor 3440x1440p, and it seems like the game really struggles with that aspect ratio. I got lag spikes transitioning from cutscene into gameplay, the pollen effect from the flower cat only covered about a third of my screen, and PonPon’s animations were VERY buggy at times. In the shop, the shop music and the normal soundtrack also seemed to overlap with each other. Gameplay wise I ran into quite a few bugs like Getting stuck in walls multiple times while diving toward cats. Cats regularly got stuck in rocks or map geometry and catching two bubble cats at once only counted as one toward the objective The game is also very short at the moment, which was a bit disappointing. I would have loved some kind of collector area or post-level/loop content so there was more reason to keep playing instead of just getting kicked out after finishing. I also think the game could benefit a lot from more mechanics in the future. Things like crouching, different cat detection ranges, unique catch conditions, combos, or more specialized ways to catch certain cats could make the gameplay loop way deeper and more interesting. Overall, this game has a ton of potential, and you need to keep in mind its in a super early state, not a finished product. I’m looking forward to checking back in at full release and hopefully re-reviewing it then. who knows maybe it can become an game I'll actually come back to - to replay, depends how the game will develop.
Very cute game and I love that it was made by students! One thing I had to do was make sure it was using my gfx card and not integrated graphics because it was making my laptop scream. However that may be an isolated incident. Worth checking out for a few hours of fun.

I got to play a way older version a good few weeks ago, so coming back to it now was actually pretty surprising. The improvements are immediately noticeable. The textures look a lot better, the world feels more alive, and even the cats themselves have way more personality now. They all move and behave differently, which honestly makes them fun to watch instead of just feeling like objectives you need to collect. The gameplay loop is really simple. You run around the map, look for cats, catch them, and bring them back to the quest giver. Normally that kind of gameplay would probably get repetitive fast, but the atmosphere carries it pretty hard. The music is nice to listen to, the world is full of little cat-themed details and overall It is just has a cozy game. My favourite cat was probably the “box cat.” Instead of chasing it normally, you have to play this little whack-a-mole style minigame to catch it, which was honestly one of the more memorable parts of the game for me. I really hope more unique cats like that get added later because it makes the gameplay feel less repetitive. The traps and obstacles around the map were also a nice addition. Some sections, like the beach area with the bubble cats, were honestly pretty annoying, but not in a bad way. (I do want to suggest making the area with the bubble cats bigger) The cats themselves can also be surprisingly difficult to catch sometimes because they move really fast and kind of erratically. Once you force them into a corner it becomes a lot easier, but until then they can absolutely waste your time running all over the place. There are still a few bugs here and there, but nothing serious enough to ruin the experience or stop progression. I do think the stamina system could maybe use a slight rework, though. I understand why it exists since you are literally playing as a grandma chasing cats around, but after a while it can get a little frustrating. Maybe some kind of stamina upgrade system or temporary boosts from collectibles could help with that. Overall, I had a really fun time with it. It is a short, cozy game that you can finish in around 20 to 30 minutes, and honestly it was just a fun little experience to play through.
You can walk on the water
Very fun experience! I love the art style and movement! Personally, I would like more settings to tinker with, like changing your fps, instead of being at the max at all time. Also a minimap would be greatly appreciated. Aside from that, very cute and cozy game. 9/10 can't complain.
