This was such a weird game. If you like retro point and click games or if you just like to see unusual experimental games then you'd probably like this.
Rezalet.
Yeah, It's definitely an 'acquired taste', as it always was, but it does have a cool story (which was apparently lost in translation) and some humourous moments (acquired in translation), which can be explored with your favourite Hitachi-Gauss Fetus and/or favourtie A.I. The gameplay is very close to the Amiga, but at the time of release, the Amiga actually 'had' a soundboard, but it wasn't too long after this game came out, that the PC would dominate. I would play and also pay homage to the excellent theme, thanks to Co-Pilot and Youtube with this link ... https://youtu.be/l4LsgoLj55c ... just for the music by Stéphane Picq. The Youtube link also has 'Ordeal Spoilers'. I would play with your favourite A.I though, and ask about the games history, as I'm doing right now... "Nerdstalgia" at it's finest. One hint though... The Master of Ordeals will give you a random gift, and a hint at which 'Ordeal' it would be useful for, at the start of each 'try'. This was actually a cool game mechanic, which I don't think I've seen in too many games, because it kind of slowly lured you in to playing an ordeal at a time, and also seemed fresh for each game... and when you mastered 'all' the ordeals, you could move on to the deeper story arc, but yeah, play with an A.I for Ordeal Hints, and also juicy little historical tidbits like this (Quoting Co-Pilot 2026) ... 🧪 The biggest translation casualty The French manual described the protagonist’s mission as: A metaphysical infiltration into a living temple where thought, mutation, and faith are weapons. The English version turned this into: You must rescue your friend from a cult. Which… yeah. That’s like turning Dune into “a boy goes to a desert planet”. Enjoy!
This gets a positive review because this is a fairly faithful recreation of the game I remember from my old Atari ST, although sadly without the weird "speech" noises. Be warned though that it is largely totally obscure in its puzzles and peculiar in its workings. Trial and error is more the way through than any real logic.

It's far from easy and lacks arcade sequences to lead you gently into the puzzles. Instead, it grabs you by the throat and puts a frown on your face as you try to complete the Ordeals and mini-tasks which are encountered in the temple's corridors. This won't find favour with out-and-out arcade fans, but most people should find themselves spending hours playing this novel and thought-provoking game. --> [ 84 / 100 ] - The Games Machine (UK) (Jul, 1989) -
