I am a big fan of Kanye myself and this game really surprised me in a way I can't even express. I'm an outsider (I'm not from New York) but I really appreciate what you're doing and the creative vision you have going on. That being said, Slatt on 🧛
Before I played CGI™: The Game, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
"CGI™: The Game" is a weird, badly made tech demo from a failed studio. Basically they body scanned a few "models", then tried to use the 3D objects to create a minimum viable product "game", but apparently could not work out how to do that properly. When you think of how real developers use actors in games, it's usually mocap and sometimes face capture (Rockstars incredible "L.A. Noire" still looks bleeding edge with that amazing face cap). None of that happened here, the scanned objects, which don't even look remotely decent, are jankily animated and the overall "game" that comprises this tech demo is junk. It failed. What do you do in the game? You'll spend more time cringing at how bad the graphics are (the only point of this tech demo) than actually fighting monsters. And there's no real motivation to do that, either. The graphics aren't great, really poor quality assets and bad model scans. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. I mean... look at the models hands as they run... it looks like they're dying from carpal tunnel syndrome. Was this put on Steam as a joke, or were these guys dead serious? Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "nope". While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam.
