Entspannendes kleines Horde Survival mit tollem Sound- und Gegnerdesign Relaxing little Horde Survival with great Sound and Enemy Design.
why is it so hard :(
This is probably one of the best (if not the best) "action rogue-like" I've played. Most games in the genre just have swarms of enemies that may have different sprites but functionally are all the same; they either move in a line at you or they hang back and fire some ranged projectile at you. That's basically 99% of rogue-likes and its pretty boring. Cellfish actually has a variety of enemies that engage in different ways and force you to adapt. It also does an excellent job with both visual and audio cues for stuff like dash cooldowns or other in game timers. Everything about this game seems designed thoughtfully and well executed. Each ship functions in a different way and forces a different playstyle; I had one ship with a strong recoil on its shot that I would use to help me maneuver and one that would lay mines behind you which required serious mental adjustment (especially when most enemies come at you head on). I've played Vampire Survivors, Boneraiser Minions, Slime 3k, and probably more I can't remember right now. Cellfish and Halls of Torment are on top in terms of enemy design and to me that makes for more engaging gameplay.

Very fun game with a great concept, but I find that very often the enemies build up to the point where when I get to the first boss I can deal any damage to it because my projectiles can't reach it, and this issue only gets worse as the run continues, making it so that only a small number of abilities with very lucky upgrades are actually viable. The game has a lot of potential but the abilities need better balancing and greater crowd control.
Pretty good for 5 bucks. A little repetitive and short, but decent for the price
Getting 100% is a fun challenge
good game. but hard
Upgrade system desperately needs some way to re-roll or banish upgrades from appearing. Perhaps offer 3 kinds of upgrades, one for your weapon, one for your health, and one for utility. As it is now, most Hard 3 runs are lost because all the game wants to give me is more health and health cooldown, which does nothing when i get ping-ponged around into a crowds of enemies and die. Otherwise the game is alright. Does not have that much content. Probably worth the $5 though.
I suck at this
Really solid roguelike and the customizing your little dude is super cute, also good choice of weapons
