Reviews
Celestwald Adventure offre une aventure sympathique avec des graphismes mignons et faits à la main et un gameplay intuitif. L'histoire captivante et la musique envoûtante complètent une expérience féerique. Parfait pour les fans de jeux d'aventure.
Hidden Object game posing as a Point n' Click. With a Drag n' Drop interface posing as a Point n' Click one. The former is not an issue since it's mentioned on the store page. Just be aware that not only isn't there a Hot Spots key, it's true pixel hunting by full mouse scanning, as objects often have no visual cue at all. (Gamepad works; mouse is just so much more comfortable.) Some landscapes provide an ugly but immensely useful zoom function. Some; not many. Even paths you already know between landscapes are hard to pinpoint again. The drag n' drop scheme, however, costs 1 rating point. Keep the pocket phone crap on pocket phones please, and learn to adapt input when porting. Also, Point n' Click, the clue is in the bloody name. Another point removed for the primitive interface: No options, not even sound volume or something as basic as a full screen. Plenty of buttons to send you to billionaires' parasitic websites though. Amateurs get their priorities mixed up. English is often poor, yet understandable; except when explaining the puzzles rules, which are a mess. An entertaining game nonetheless, doing something a bit different with the formula, with a more exploratory feel, lots of interactive spots, plenty of fluff. For best element, I'll pick the music. It kept me playing longer than the mechanics or story did. My thumb faces down because the puzzles are broken. At least 1, which renders all of them unreliable. Not only are the 2 instantly obvious solutions not accepted, not only is the accepted solution incorrect, it breaks its own rules in 2 different ways, one of them having you change the state of runes that shouldn't be clickable. Celestwald's very simple puzzles turned into impossible ones by way of combined bugs. For reference, here's the faulty puzzle (or the 1st one I found) and its botched solution from the devs' own walkthrough: https://youtu.be/XVh-YBEOzrQ?t=86 If they fix things in the future, then go for it.
Celestwald is an absolutely adorable game! I've just started playing and I really love the atmosphere and the graphics. However, I really wish we could pet the rabbits in the game; that would be such a cute feature to add! I've encountered a few bugs that I'd like to point out. The game completely disappears when I click the minimize window icon on Windows, and if I haven't saved, everything is lost. 😢 Also, there's a bug with the rings where you can't wear two at the same time, but I eventually managed to do it after several tries! 😊 I love that you can get help with the chest codes when you can't find them, it's really convenient and makes the game even more enjoyable. Plus, I adore the fact that the game is non-violent and super cute! Overall, Celestwald is a great game with a few small bugs to fix, but I'm already excited to keep playing!
