It pains me to do this but, while I liked the game, I cannot recommend it: (a) GAME-PLAY: even on hard difficulty it was still easy. (b) STORY: I enjoyed the inclusion of lesbian love but the plot was not really engaging, to the point that finishing the game felt more like an obligation. (d) GRAPHICS: Graphically the game looked amazing and the avatars were gorgeous.
Another fun JRPG game by Joshua Keith. Although I didn't find the narrative as compelling as Knight Bewitched it was still an interesting and fun adventure. The hard difficulty is pretty challenging if you're looking for a tough cookie to grind out. There's enough connective tissue to other games to keep things interesting and enough new developments to be intriguing. Like his other games there's plenty of optional content and secrets to find as well, and a deep and competent combat system with many different build approaches for you to find the right style that you enjoy and/or to tackle bosses in a specific way. I don't see a high-replayability factor here but if you're looking for a charming JRPG game with a complex combat system and some fun characters this is a great little game to spend 20 hours on. You don't have to have played any of the other games to enjoy this game's plot but it will make certain characters and interactions make more sense with Knight Bewitched contexts. The game regularly goes on sale for a dollar or two which is a STEAL but even for 4.99 this is a great little RPG to enjoy a few weekends exploring.

It was a fun little story :) Short, sweet, silly, just a good time overall. It's not very difficult, you're not gonna need to do hours of grinding in order to defeat bosses which I appreciate. Just playing the game normally, you'll get enough exp through the encounters. Tho, I DID do a LOT of backtracking, I just get anxious thinking I'm missing out on things, but honestly I didn't need to do all of that lol I do wish there was just a bit more build up in the relationship before they kiss and do the do off camera. I was just a bit surprised it happened so soon. I like how the story wasn't just about them, I love my love on the side of the world ending, and the other characters got a good amount of time too. I think I ended up liking Sylvie more than I did the main character Kayah. After finishing it I realized something, I need more gay rpg maker stories in my life. If I can't find more, I should make some myself haha I really enjoyed seeing what all this creator did with rpg maker :)
Overall, a good RPG. Took about 12 hours to beat the game.... It is definitely one of the most polished RPG-Maker games that I've played. Good character development through out. The optional scenarios are definitely something to make sure you see as it provides a lot of context for the characters' growth. Most of the music fits well with the scenario. Some of the music seems a little lackluster, but overall helped set the scene. The Battles were overall enjoyable, some of the time it was a bit grind-heavy, but I also tend to over-level due to trying to complete all side missions and explore everything. Monster pixel art are pretty good. Character pixel art is a bit to be desired but given the art is much better within the menu, doesn't detract from the overall experience. Overall, a worthwhile RPG especially for the Price-tag. very worth it if you can pick it up on a sale. I'd give it like an overall 8/10. Some minor things that could be improve upon but very enjoyable experience.
I have done the game in story mode just to go through ( I'm not a fan of of RPG like this ). But... I really like this one. Characters story are well done and that's very nice to follow. Exploration is nice to do. No "infinite" place but lot of them. Secret area can be found. Nice reference to knight betwitched even if the reference to the story of R et G was a strange one !
advertised in adult hentai tags, but haven´t seen such content in game ,therefor i feel scammed, great story line so far, but literally no satisfaction of how it was recommended as a adult game when so far i only have seen sim novel dating scene´s
I had high hopes for this game and after 20 hours of time well spent (Story Mode) I must say, I am more than pleased. Kayah and Helen are so cute ^^ (I have quite the crush on Sera though :p) There are many references to the Knight Bewitched Series, so I had that warm and fuzzy feeling of coming home to a place I love. Love the storytelling, the colorful areas, the music, all the goodies you can find in chests or get from boss-fights (my inventory was rather full at times)... I wish there was a sequel already, because the ending promises new and exciting adventures. But I will be patient...and hopeful... I know the remastered version of Knight Bewitched is in the making and I am sure looking forward to that too ^^ If you liked Knight Bewitched you will surely like Celestial Hearts. Give it a go and have a good time!
И ещё одна игра от Joshua Keith считается пройденной. Celestial Hearts является более улучшенной версией двух частей Knight Bewithed. Боевая система позаимствована из Mari and the Black Tower. Всё по той же старой схеме: путешествуем из одной локации в другую, тем самым продвигаясь по сюжету. Боссов добавили очень много и у каждого своя механика. Также были введены две области, которые в свою очередь больше отсылают нас к предыдущим играм из серии The Knights of Ambrose Saga.
A problim with mainstream LGBT representation is that queer people seldom get to do things other than being queer (and also suffering for it). There's way too few stories about queer characters fighting monsters, robbing banks, exploring forbidden tombs and doing all the other fun stuff. Thankfully, we have the indie creators to fill this gap. Celestial Hearts is a well-crafted classic-style JRPG with a lesbian couple as its main characters. It doesn't offer a lot of innovation, but perfectly reproduces the sense of wonder of the classic 16-bit era JRPGs. The story is somewhat formulaic, but the characters are sympathetic and well-written enough to make one want to join them on their quest. A nice addition to the library of any classic JRPG fan, or a queer gamer who wants to spend some time in a fantasy world feeling welcome.
I could not get enough of this awesome JRPG. Everything from the gameplay to the soundtrack and everything in between made this one of the coolest JRPG games I have played in a while. Give this a try.
