its perfect for a background game. this should be a second game while you focus on primary game. years later you would be idle master
Стандартный кликер с прикрученным кешшопом сделанный за пару дней скучающим студентом. Графики, геймплея, сюжета не замечено, зато магазинчик прикрутить не забыли.
It didn't take me long to figure out what's wrong with this game, you can't continue to farm Dark Mana on a run, you essentially just get stuck and are forced to reset. Ruins the idle part.

No tardé mucho en darme cuenta de lo que falla en este juego: no puedes seguir cultivando maná oscuro mientras juegas; básicamente, te quedas atascado y tienes que reiniciar. Arruina la parte inactiva.
As of this review I am at floor 110 which is barely even the middle of the game. I'm playing without DLC and have 425 hours in game. Idle Cave Heroes is an rpg idle game with incremental elements and pixel art style characters. There are 3 characters you'll have in the party. They are Connor, Robin, and Julia. Connor is your tank meant to keep Robin, the archer or damage dealer, and Julia, the cleric or support and recovery specialist, alive. Your characters will live die and repeat till they chip away at enemies hp. On boss floors, the enemy must die before you do or they full heal and you will fight the same enemy and gain zero progress in perpetuity. It is a very slow idle game that requires you to be rather active for an idle game to make progress at a reasonable speed. You will upgrade the village, your characters gear, abilities dark equipment, artifacts, relics, and idle abilities as you progress. You'll hit points where you have to grind dark mana till you can prestige via the dark ritual in town which unlocks at floor 15 to repeat the grind from floor 1. Now for my opinion... I'll be blunt... It's not idle at all early game so unless you plan to grind for a long time actively, don't pick it up. If you don't mind spending a couple days to a week grinding the game, you'll probably start to feel the idle mechanics of the game. There are 2 types of idling in this game which I'll call active and passive. Active is when the game is on and progressing. Passive is when the game is off and progresses instantly when you come back. This technically has both even though offline is severely handicapped by pet progression tasks and their max level caps. (Use an autoclicker to do a certain thing and it'll get even better as an idle game.) If you want an extremely grindy incremental idle game, this is a good option as it has a lot of things you can do for a few minutes and then you can relax and forget about it for hours or days with it on in the background. It barely uses memory compared to a lot of idle games with only about 500mb being used. You can literally play anything else and just let it run without it destroying your frames if you really want a simple idle game. You don't need the dlc to progress, but you will need them to progress fast. Depending on how much progress you want to make, you can decide if the dlc are worth it and if you want to support the dev for making this game. I feel like the game could have been $3 to $15 and made everything unlockable eventually and it would be a better game. This is not my first or last idle or incremental game I'll play, but I can tell you there are better and worse ones out there. Some are very sneaky about coaxing you to buy their stuff and Cave Heroes does not do that. It just bluntly tells you that these are here for you to go way faster if you want to pay for the game. I don't like micro transactions, but at least this one doesn't shove them in your face every time you start the game or pop up adds everywhere.
Progression is WAY to slow.

I've played this game on and off for a couple of years now. I don't quite get the reason for the mixed reviews, considering this is one of the best of the idler games that I've played. I prefer an idler where you can actually play, instead of basically setting and forgetting with occasional clicks to do upgrades. The main sticking point seems to be people hitting walls and being unable to progress further. They really are not playing the game properly. The main thing you want to be doing is getting as far as you possibly can, then doing a dark ritual. Accumulating dark mana improves stats by a significant margin. The game I feel also does progression walls really well, requiring you to actually strategize and intervene in some cases. It's an incredibly satisfying and rewarding experience to be able to finally smash past that roadblock or unlock something you've been grinding for. I also tend to prioritize unlocking as many rewards as I possibly can, as those tend to also propel progression. More often than not, said rewards give considerable bonuses and generally also require some form of intervening from the player. Same thing goes for unlocking pets and doing quests. There's also a lot you can do to break up the regular grind and gameplay through the means of events. Events are probably the best feature of this game, with some of them being really interesting concepts, and fun to play. The game also introduces mechanics much slower, and layers on a ton of different mechanics at a good pace instead of other games dumping everything at once and saying "just click the highlighted spot a bunch, you'll learn, trust us". The only downside, is a lot of times you'll end up feeling lost, not being able to progress. Which most times is due to a fault on your part. When I tend to get to this point, I'll usually just look things up. Which is hard to do considering there is no good wiki. Just do yourself a solid, and join the Discord. Most times there's going to be a pin/something you can search for where someone gives advise or a solution." MTX also isn't egregious. It's there, but never really necessary. TLDR: Bad reviews because people don't know how to play. Game has a ton of depth, super rewarding, with fun events to break up the monotony of grinding. Mechanics and systems are introduced in a much better way compared to other idlers.
Surprisngly fun little roguelite. Good for quick co-op runs
Good game.
