Reviews
'Cat Simulator' attempts to tap into the popular subgenre of chaotic animal physics sandboxes, offering players the premise of exploring environments through the eyes of a mischievous feline. The game’s primary appeal lies in its immediate, low-barrier amusement, allowing players to swat at household objects, topple shelves, and cause general destruction across a variety of localized maps. In short, casual bursts, the novelty of racking up points for digital vandalism provides a lighthearted, comedic distraction that can be appealing to younger audiences or fans of ironic physics engines. However, the experience is severely limited by a lack of mechanical depth and pervasive technical unpolish. The controls and collision detection are notably floaty, often causing the character model to clip through walls or get stuck in the environment during routine movements. Outside of the basic loop of knocking items over, the available minigames and upgrade tracks are highly repetitive, failing to provide a meaningful sense of progression or longevity. Ultimately, 'Cat Simulator' feels more like a rough prototype or a rushed asset flip than a complete gaming experience, lacking the structural refinement and inventive humor that allow titles like 'Goat Simulator' or 'Untitled Goose Game' to transcend their initial gimmicks.

The main problem with this game is it's just TOO realistic. After only 5 minutes of play, returning to the normal world I felt like a cat playing human simulator.
