Castaway Paradise - live among the animals

Game is abandoned and the DLC can no longer be downloaded and used in the game as the servers they were on no longer exist

Very repetitive and grindy feels a lot like a mobile game

I do enjoy the concept of the game but it is annoying to play on pc. The controllers literaly just stop working after you reach level 11 and playing with a mouse and keyboard just feels unconfortable since it uses the same interface for mobiles. The game needs better adaptation to pc

Where do I even begin. You know those mobile games that make you either wait forever for things to complete/being able to do actions? This basically plays exactly like those. And all you do in it is to basically do a stupid amount of fetch quests with some planting and fish/bug catching in between. It is extremely repetitive and honestly really not enjoyable to play. It also loves to give you quests you just can not complete because the items you need just haven't spawned anywhere on the island. The store page claims [quote]If you like Animal Crossing, Among Us, or Harvest Moon, you will love this game![/quote] but I highly disagree and I love farming games. The Among Us part doesn't even make any sense because the game plays nothing like it. To add to the problems the controls are beyond awful (at least on keyboard and mouse). You actually have to try to make them this terrible. It is also quite buggy and none of the DLCs for it work anymore (at least they are free I guess...). It is legitimately baffling to me how this game has 71% positive reviews. It is very much not good at all. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).

Castaway Paradise, in version 3.0, shows a stride, Yet, it can't touch Animal Crossing's pride. Slow and dull, lacking the charm, Falls far short, no allure, no warm.

Es como Animal Crossing, solo que nunca he jugado un Animal Crossing, y espero que no se parezca a este, porque vaya ****** de juego. Lo más divertido que ocurre es limpiar telarañas.

Good game if you like Stardew Valley and animal crossing. lots of free DLC if you can get it to work and the controller update is a good add on

mom i wanna play animal crossing we have animal crossing at home animal crossing at home: This game feels like it doesn't know WHAT it wants to be. It flip-flops from wanting to be like Animal Crossing to wanting to be like Harvest Moon. Lot of nostalgic value for me though. Take my review with a grain of salt, I'm biased. I played the original mobile release.
