A pleasant solo or co-op time. Harpoon and reel mechanics are gratifying. Sound effects are rich, soundtrack is catchy and fitting of the aesthetic. At the time of launch. 100% the game's achievement list is swift and fun to discover (Which could make for a speedrun challenge). The animations and circumstances these vehicles go through to be destroyed are delightfully hilarious. Could make for an all-ages impromptu, local/remote experience within a competitive environment or as an ice breaker.
I give this game a 5/5 now. I previously gave this game a 3/5, but now all the issues with the game have been addressed by the developer. The new menus and quality of life improvements make this game a must play with friends.
Original arcade with friends game that brought laughs and lots of charm. I've had the pleasure to test it during development many times with success on the Steam Deck (with and without gamepads), co-op in person and also remote play together. I enjoyed the aspect of earning points for crushing cards but also being able to harpoon your competition, allowing you to express yourself while trying to rack up your high score. The levels are highly varied and the central harpooning mechanics allow for a lot of experimentation but also a decent skill ceiling to surely get your moneys worth.
a funny game with cute art and characters, enjoyed so much!
Super simple yet SUPER fun party game with surprisingly deep skill-expression! Carpoon brings me back to the golden age of Flash games, while still feeling modern and polished. Everything you touch either bounces or shatters into a million pieces, and it's always hilarious!! Pure silly fun with my friends! What more could I possibly ask for?
Fun little local multiplayer game.
Wacky/arcadie twin-stick car harpooning game! I was thrilled to see that you can play the game solo since I was playing on Steam Deck and don't have a PC. Controls are easy and simple. I get Calling All Cars! vibes from playing Carpoon. Great for local party play or even playing solo.
It's got a classic arcade feel, easy to pickup which is great for more casual players, and a a fair room for mastery. You'll get the most out of this experience for sure through parsec or ol' fashion couch co-op. It's an absolute blast with friends!
Fun local multiplayer and very cute art.
Played this with four players several times at various game meetups. A fun, goofy throwback to days of four-player on-the-couch multiplayer that knows the best co-op games are the ones that let you torment your teammates just for the sake of being a chaos agent. Plus, those googly eyes!
