You start from scratch as an intern, where your only real income comes from actually selling cars. From there, you slowly work your way up from having basically nothing to becoming the owner of the best car dealership in town.
At first, there’s definitely some grinding involved. You negotiate buying and selling prices, pick up the cars yourself, remove rust, wash them, take pictures and get everything ready for sale. Basically, you're the buyer, salesman, mechanic, cleaner and delivery driver all at once.
But as you make more money, you can upgrade your dealership and start hiring people to do the grunt work for you. You’ll still be negotiating deals yourself though, because apparently trusting someone else with your profit margins is a step too far.
I’m not actually sure if online negotiating is unlocked straight away in a new game or if you unlock it later. I’ll have to check that… but I digress.
After a while, you’ll have enough money to buy a trailer and hire someone to pick up all those used cars you negotiated for. From there, you can start moving cars through different workstations to get them ready for sale without having to do absolutely everything yourself.
Buy cheap, repair what needs repairing, sell high. Sleep, sell, repeat.
Eventually, you’ll have enough money to buy the car transporter.
Spoiler alert: you’ll need 5 million for that one.
Once you finally get it, a huge part of the process can be automated. Buying, repairing, washing, rust removal and even taking pictures can all be handled for you.
Think the hard part is over?
Nope.
There’s always more profit to be made.
Once you’ve gathered enough prestige and leveled up far enough, you can even start selling brand-new cars. Out with the old, in with the new.
Sleep. Automate. Sell. Repeat.
Until you become the best car dealer in town.
Oh, did I mention the developers are involved with the community?
No?
Well, they are.
The developers are active as hell. They’re involved on Discord, communicate with the community and even push out patches during weekends. Yes, I know I’m praising both the game and the developers quite a bit here, but credit where credit is due.
So, what about the bad stuff?
Yes, there are bugs sometimes. It’s a simulator, after all. But the nice thing is that when something does break, the developers actually seem to be on top of it instead of disappearing into the void for six months.
Do I get a commission for writing this review?

I just believe in praising things that deserve to be praised.
Would I recommend Car Dealer Simulator?
If you like simulator games, progression, automation, negotiating for every last bit of profit and developers who are actively supporting their game: absolutely.
Don’t like grinding or simulator games at all?
Give it a chance anyway.
You might be amazed.
You might be disappointed.
But hey, that choice is yours to make.
