✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works fine (12/09/2025). 'A' button to advance text and touchscreen/buttons for menu and choices. Reading this VN made my braincells hurt (this is a positive thing btw!) and it's been an entertaining read. The replayability to get all the achievements was really bad tho because the skip feature didn't work properly (for me at least).
I came for Pochi's designs, and I stayed for the great cast and for the plot (...and Pochi's designs). Everyone is likeable and I wish more VNs had a male friend as good as Fuma. The first 10 minutes of the game are actually gold. It's pretty much my favorite VN prologue. The writing for the game overall is pretty funny. This VN is also one of the only 2 games that ever made me want to visit a specific location in Japan. The surprisingly comfy atmosphere really enhanced the overall experience to me. The translation isn't perfect but it's good enough. There's nothing that really hampers the experience here. Overall, I had a great time and I can even say I loved the game. The fact that this VN is somewhat overlooked is kinda sad, but not all indie works can achieve stardom, especially in an already niche genre. My only major complaint is that I wish it was longer (especially the ending and the epilogue). It's a shame the devs didn't release another VN after it, as this is one of the the better indie VNs on Steam for me. Even if I wouldn't call it perfect, I can still say it ended up becoming a favorite of mine.

The story is not that bad, but still not entertaining or strong enough to recommend it.
Campus Notes - forget me not is a great visual novel, though it does have a few shortcomings. You play as Yuta Kiriha, a transfer student to the University of Tsukuba. He meets and befriends a fellow transfer student Fuma and the two are encouraged to find a club to join by Yuta’s older sister Rina. While on their search, Yuta and Fuma quickly run into our three quirky heroines, Kaen, Shion, and Togi. Put off by the weirdness of the girls, the duo abandon their plans and head back to their dorm. Yuta bumps into a strange robot-like girl on the way, and then things turn very crazy for Yuta very fast! The plot from this point on is very interesting and is supported by the unique and engaging heroines. I definitely recommend playing this visual novel. Now for some additional notes: There is no voice acting, which may be off-putting for those used to higher budget visual novels. The art is good overall. The sprites are very expressive and CGs are nice to look at. However, there aren’t that many CGs, with several of the slots you see in the in-game CG gallery actually being occupied by minor variations of other CGs. Also, while the sprites are beautiful they can sometimes clash with the backgrounds (which are all filtered photographs). The music tracks are all at least passable and a few of them are really good (I love the track that plays during Togi scenes. Also Togi best girl.) The translation flows smoothly with no significant grammatical errors and just a couple of typos throughout the game. The description advertises “Over 10 hours of gameplay,” but if you are a quick reader and make use of the skip function for already red text you should be able to 100% complete the game in a little over half that time. There are some very nice scenes with the heroines and their routes are all well done, but don’t expect too much on the romance front overall. The focus is ultimately on the story (which is amazing, but a few more romantic moments couldn't have hurt). Now for my one major complaint: In addition to Yuta, Fuma, and the heroines, many other characters show up briefly throughout the game but aren't explored deeply. This is because Campus Notes is a series (though each game functions as a standalone title so you don’t need to play the others) and those characters are focused on in the other games. However, a few of those characters play important roles in the story so their actions can be a bit jarring as we don't really get a sense of their personalities or motivations. Unfortunately, the developers of the series, 4th cluster, have disbanded as of this August 2018 and so we probably will never get to see the rest of the series in English.
Need more VN's like this. No hentai here. I liked the story and the main characters. Routes with different paths. Though i wish we had a bit more detail on the other sub characters.
5 Minutes in: Seems alright so far. 10 minutes in: Huh? What? That's...... Wait, what?! 1 Hour in: What the heck is going on!? 2 Hours in: My head hurts..... 3 Hours in: How did we end up at quantum physics? End of first run through: Huh!!? Hold on a sec!! But that.... WHAT JUST HAPENED!! Very well written and extremely compelling, it’s also confusing quite a lot of the time, as it drip feeds little titbits of the puzzle. And then then it goes “AH-HA!! Now try and work THIS into your carefully crafted theory!” I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I’m going to lay down in a darkened room, I think my brain needs a rest before I go back to try a second run.
I hate games that leave you hanging without an ending. I just "finished" it, and there's no answer to what they are going through. It would be different if there was a sequel available, but there isn't (at least not on Steam). Waste of money and my time playing it!
Campus Notes - forget me not. has an interesting story. It was a quick, fun read but I doubt it'll leave too much of an impression in the long run, sadly. The characters were cute though, I liked them a lot.
I love Togi's end just wish it continued, and sadly I looked up the creator and they aren't making anymore which made me wanna cry a little not gonna lie. Ending should have had more but the story is really good and the characters are all good to.
Al inicio había algo que me hacia no querer seguir jugando, no creo poder explicar que era, pero que bueno que no le hice caso, porque ame la historia, gran juego, recomendado
