Oh wow...add a "S" in front of "laughter" and it really changes huh? MIND: BLOWN. Your Summer camp has not one, but SEVERAL killers on the prowl! GET OUTTA THERE! The game has...I guess four?...decent sized zones, and a buncha people who want you dead. You have no flashlight, and medpacks are limited...but there are TV's every so often that can save your progress. The zones are: Zone 1: Forest/camp. The Deer guy hunts you here. He's scattered a bunch of hard-to-see traps on the ground...get caught in one, and you'll not only alert him, but you'll be unable to jump until you use a medpack. You have to find gas, fill up a generator, and then run to the underground elevator to escape. Zone 2: Cave. It appeared to be a labyrinth...but honestly, my gamer-sense was impeccable here, and I found the way out very quickly. if there were secrets/enemies down here, I missed them completely. Zone 3: Manor. A grief-stricken couple mourns their lost child here...by killing everyone who comes by! You have to find 3 certain objects to unlock the exit, while avoiding the couple. The father is shy, and will slow down if you stare at him...but the mother will CHARGE if you stare at her...They each patrol a different area, so you don't have to deal with them both at once. Zone 4: To the docks. ...RUN FOOL!!! Each baddie has unique sounds to alert you if they're near, You can tell pretty accurately where they are by them. They're all aggressive, but outrun-able...provided you don't run out of stamina. Areas are large and usually have several places to duck in/around, although there aren't any normal "hiding spots" like lockers and such, there are a few spots where they can't follow you. There aren't too many "Jumpscares", the spookies mostly come from trying to listen for, and escape from the bads. The game both looks and sounds great, and I encountered no problems to speak of. ...I can't readily think of any nitpicks, or things I'd change...that's rare for me. I won in a little over an hour, with 0 deaths, but I played very cautiously...so you can probably win in less. This is really well done! I had a lot of fun, and have no complaints! It's just what I was looking for this evening, a fun horror with a nice style, to play through in one go.

It's a short distraction that won't really challenge you much (I got a free pass on the whole first section because the killer got stuck on the stairs), but it's fun for what it is. There was one moment toward the very end that actually made me jump. I knew something was behind me, just not so close. Making me jump with these graphics is impressive to me. And it's got kind of a sense of humor. Nothing groundbreaking. But while I won't say too much more than this, the part where you pick up the map legit made me chuckle a little. Ultimately, it's free. So if you have an hour or so to kill, you don't have much to lose. I did have one bug where the interact button just stopped working, but when I restarted I found that I only had about 8 minutes left in the game anyway, so it's all good.
Sonlara doğru beni gerçekten zıplatan bir an vardı.
Very good! Well done. I have fun.
"So there's two problems with this game: 1) A terrible, low-poly fire is making my RTX 3080 scream with rage in a way that only a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Unity game can. 2) As someone who lives in a fairly dense cedar forest, the invisible wall of all these loosely-spaced pines is NOT enough to keep me from walking through them. If you want to render some kind of forest that makes sense as a wall, use swamp cedar trees, not pines. I could be running through camp full-tilt with my arms at my sides but instead I am stuck on open air."
Camp Laughter is an indie horror experience developed and published by Team Camp Laughter that blends classic slasher-film inspiration with stealth-focused survival gameplay and a playful sense of dark humor. Created as a student project by a small team of developers, the game embraces a lighter, more comedic tone while still maintaining the tension expected from the horror genre. Set within a remote summer camp that quickly transforms from a cheerful getaway into a dangerous nightmare, the game invites players to explore a familiar horror setting filled with cabins, forest trails, and shadowy paths where danger lurks behind every corner. The story centers around Sammy, a teenager who arrives at Camp Laughter expecting an ordinary summer experience. Instead, the camp is already under the control of strange and eccentric killers who have turned the peaceful campground into a deadly playground. Sammy has no weapons and little means of direct confrontation, which forces the player to rely on stealth, observation, and quick decision-making to survive. The narrative itself is relatively simple, but it serves as an effective framework for the game’s core objective: escape the camp while avoiding the unpredictable threats that patrol the area. Gameplay revolves primarily around stealth mechanics and environmental exploration. Players must move carefully through different sections of the camp while searching for items that help unlock new areas or progress toward escape. Objects such as keys, tools, or other useful items are scattered throughout the environment, encouraging players to explore cabins, outdoor areas, and other camp facilities. However, exploration is never entirely safe. The killers wander through the map, and being spotted often leads to tense chase sequences where the player must run, hide, or outmaneuver their pursuers. Avoidance rather than confrontation defines the experience. Because Sammy cannot fight back, the game emphasizes learning the layout of the camp and identifying safe paths or hiding spots. Players gradually become more familiar with the environment as they explore, discovering shortcuts, escape routes, and areas where enemies tend to patrol. This knowledge becomes an essential survival tool, allowing players to navigate the campground more efficiently while staying one step ahead of the killers. The killers themselves add personality to the experience. Rather than presenting a single antagonist, the game introduces a collection of exaggerated slasher-style characters who roam the camp. Each one feels like a playful parody of horror movie villains, complete with distinctive appearances and behaviors. While they remain dangerous threats within the gameplay, their designs also contribute to the game’s humorous tone. This mix of menace and absurdity helps create a unique atmosphere where players may feel both tense and amused during encounters. The environment of the camp plays an important role in shaping the game’s pacing. The map includes various recognizable summer camp locations such as cabins, forest trails, open fields, and lakeside areas. These spaces create a sense of exploration while also forming a maze-like structure that players must learn to navigate effectively. As players move deeper into the camp, the environment begins to feel increasingly claustrophobic despite the open outdoor setting, reinforcing the sense that danger could appear from any direction. Visually, Camp Laughter uses a low-poly art style reminiscent of older 3D games. This aesthetic choice gives the game a retro charm that fits well with its playful take on horror. The simplified character models and environments allow the developers to focus more on atmosphere and gameplay rather than high-end graphical detail. The stylized presentation also softens the horror elements slightly, making the game feel more like a campy homage to slasher movies rather than an intense survival horror experience. Sound design contributes significantly to the tension during exploration. Ambient sounds such as rustling leaves, creaking wooden structures, and distant footsteps create a constant sense of unease as players move through the campground. Audio cues often signal when danger may be nearby, encouraging players to remain alert even during quiet moments. The soundscape helps balance the comedic tone with genuine suspense, ensuring that the game still delivers moments of tension despite its humorous elements. Because the project was developed by a small team within a limited scope, the overall length of the experience is relatively short. Most players will likely complete the game in a single session. While this brevity may leave some wishing for additional content or expanded mechanics, it also keeps the experience focused and avoids unnecessary repetition. The short runtime makes it well suited for players who want a quick indie horror experience rather than a lengthy survival campaign. The simplicity of the mechanics can sometimes limit the game’s depth. Since the gameplay revolves largely around stealth, exploration, and item collection, the core loop remains consistent from beginning to end. There are few additional systems or evolving mechanics that significantly change how the game is played as it progresses. However, the strength of the game lies more in its atmosphere and concept than in complex gameplay systems. Despite its modest scope, Camp Laughter manages to stand out thanks to its distinctive blend of horror and comedy. The combination of stealth gameplay, quirky villains, and a nostalgic visual style gives the game a personality that separates it from more conventional horror titles. It feels like a playful tribute to classic slasher films, where the tension of being chased through a dark forest is balanced by the absurdity of the characters involved. Ultimately, Camp Laughter succeeds as a compact indie horror experience that prioritizes atmosphere and creativity over technical complexity. While it may not offer the depth or length of larger horror games, it delivers an entertaining and memorable adventure through a twisted version of a summer camp. Players who enjoy indie horror titles with a touch of humor will likely appreciate the game’s unique tone and accessible design. Rating: 7/10
