Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Remastered (2017)

[h1]밀리터리 슈터는 정석적인 헐리우드 식 연출의 선형 게임이 진짜 맛있다.[/h1] 그 예전 구 모던워페어 3부작 시절 모던워페어3이 지나치게 선형적인 헐리우드 식 액션게임이라고 욕을 먹으며 배틀필드 3과 비교당하고, 심지어는 그걸 비판을 빙자해 거의 비난하다 시피하는 게임인 '듀티 콜즈'도 나왔었는데, 지금 와서 보면 비선형적인 진행, 자유도, 오픈월드 비슷한 무언가를 캠페인에 쑤셔박은 밀리터리 FPS 중에 좋은 평가를 받은 게 있었던가? 필자가 알기론 비선형적 진행을 준 게임의 시초격인 게 배틀필드 4에서 비슷한 걸 처음 본 것 같은데, 그마저도 재미없다고 묻혔었다. 배틀필드는 캠페인을 보고 하는 게임이 아니기라도 했지만 요즘 콜오브듀티는 그 비선형적인 진행에 쥐콩알만한 자유도로 오픈월드인 척하는 보는맛 없는 캠페인들이 대다수고, 없어도 된다고 생각될 정도다. 실제로 싱글플레이 캠페인 자체를 블랙옵스 7에서 그냥 있기는 하다 정도의 구색으로 내놔서 창내놓기는 했지. 그리고 그 남은 캠페인 조차도 워존이랑 연계해서 보지 않으면 스토리 이해 자체가 불가능한 이해할 수 없는 구조인데, 이럴거면 진짜 블옵 4마냥 캠페인을 그냥 아예 없애던지 싶다. 구 모던워페어, 그것도 시초격 작품을 보고 구관이 명관이란 걸 느끼고 간다.

Second time playing through the remaster and platting/100% it. Originally did it on PS4 when it came out. Who knows how many times I played All Ghillied Up in high school. So much about this game is iconic and revolutionary. However the PC port, as usual, has some issues, such as the loading intel screen being insanely loud. Plenty of critiques to give in hindsight now 18 years later gameplay wise and multiplayer wise, but thats to be expected. Despite that for a "modern" CoD multiplayer experience, the remastered CoD4 experience was definitely solid, and should be used as the model for a live service forever Modern Warfare or CoD Online game, but we cant have nice things

Es ist und war damals (2007) so wie heute (2017) einer meiner beste und Lieblingsspiel gewesen.
