The developers of this game feel incredibly self-indulgent. One boring and frustrating mission follows another, as if they genuinely believed players would enjoy these tedious sections. I honestly cannot understand some of these design choices. Instead of making the campaign more interesting, they mostly make it exhausting and unpleasant. If this is the level of effort put into Call of Duty campaigns, then it is hard to justify the premium price. Good graphics cannot hide bad mission design. At times, it feels like the developers care more about showing off their ideas than making the game actually fun to play. By the later part of the campaign, the only reason I kept playing was because I wanted to finish it so that I could leave a negative review.
