Reviews
This game was very well done, the english actors were on point, and overall a great VN. My only con would be that its too short for how well done it is. i hope to see more from this creator in the future :)
Really short visual novel and at least for a person who works as a waitress in café this was really easy one. Doesn't require much time to play all routes. Overall it's just ok and price isn't so bad.
Bro. After reading other reviews, I see a lot of people still recommending this game despite its flaws because of the game was some sort of debut work, and because its not on an expensive price tag like other DT's/VS's. But Im just gonna be honest, the game is short, routes are expected, art is slightly bellow average (in my opinion) with almost no fan service, some voice lines are missing(fixed) and some are muffled(pretty cringe bro). And the other thing is, if you're too used to chinese or japanese DT or VS its kinda hard to get used to the voice acting, I mean, some characters are just kind of out of their voice (like watching a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dub of an anime), and I do think the voice acting is rather bad rather than "not used too". The only thing Id give this game credit for is being interactive, but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mini games they give you is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHILDS GAME, no challenge or effort needed. And the achievements? WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ WOULD I WANT TO GET REJECTED IN THIS VERY NOT SOPHISTICATED GAME, THAT'S THE ONLY CHALLENGE THE GAME GIVES YOU, GETTING REJECTED, NOT BECAUSE ITS HARD, ITS BECAUSE ITS HARD TO STAND, WHAT? YOU THINK ID FAIL TO GET EASY GIRLS THAT ANYONE CAN CASH IN ♥♥♥♥♥ IN LESS THAN A WEEK. Buy the game if you want, the game is probably good, maybe its just me
The price says it all about the game. It's short, the scenes are mediocre, and don't even get me started on some of the voices... ugh... I can still hear the horrible audio quality. Regardless, this seems like a beginner game at best, but overall an unrecommended one.
Hi guys, this is a heart warming sweet game! So wourth a buy. The one draw back I find is, Lilly and Josie's seem incompleate. Deve please fix.
Grafika fajna, zamysł ciekawy, ALE fabuła to absolutne dno i rak.
Follow Far2close - Visual Novel Playthroughs Curator Page Café Crush Developer: Michael Emerson Publisher: Drunk Bunny Games Pros: Straightforward Story (Easy to pick up) Unique Characters (Enthusiastic waitress, hard to approach boss, ditsy baker) Cute Character Art Multiple Endings (1 Special Ending) Minigames Neutral: 4:3 Aspect Ratio Cons: Straightforward Story (Simple pick a girl and go, nothing too notable) Repetitive Story (Each girl's route goes the same way) Quick Pacing End CGs have small differences (Same pose for each girl, except Emilia having 2 end CGs) Voice Acting (One character's voice quality was low due to low volume and some microphone white noise) Conclusion: Michael Emerson's Café Crush is a short and easy to pick up visual novel, sporting cute unique characters with multiple endings. However, it does lack in the story as the main character's goal is to seek a job while getting a girlfriend at the same time. With this, the in-game duration of the story takes about several days to a week making you feel a bit out of touch with the characters as your time with them feels quite quick in developing intimate feelings. Replay value can feel repetitive as each replay goes the same way, but you choose a different girl with Emilia being slightly different if you choose the correct choices. General gameplay is a standard VN with some minigames such as matching up or click the objects, however if you'd like to replay the VN, you'll have to redo these in the same order every time. This visual novel also has full voice acting however, one minor character sticks out as their voice line is low quality due to low volume and some microphone white noise. Overall, Café Crush is an entertaining short VN if you want to invest a short amount of time in a light plot with cute characters, however replaying it will feel repetitive. Score: 6/10
Going to recommend this, I guess, since there is no neutral option. This game was fun for one playthrough, but once you go back to try another girl, it is that the creator didn't really intend for you to replay for all of the girls. It is pretty much the exact same thing with slight dialogue changes based on choosing a different dialogue to get points with her. Which would be fine if the endings were unique, but no. The endings are the exact same thing for each girl, aside from the baker who has an...interesting, out-of-nowhere ending tacked onto the main ending. Worth a play, but I'm really glad I got this on sale.
Simple game, really short, cute characters. 6/10 =D Worth the price and the time
Overall rating: 7.5/10 I loved this game a lot, it's simple and silly! Voices: The voice acting is great for the main girls, but the audio quality could improve by a lot, especially on the customers. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Micheala Laws voices in this game, though. Characters: Josie was a fun tsudere character, and VOICED BY THE QUEEN MICHEALA LAWS, Lily was cute and the first route I took, and Emilia was a sweet character with an interesting reveal in her ending. Storyline: Pretty great story in my opinion, a bit basic but entertaining and adorable love story. Gameplay: The mini games are fun and pretty easy, I enjoyed them! Game is unfortunately a bit short, but it's still a really neat time killer for maybe an hour or two, and I've replayed it a few times now. Art: The art in this game is top tier in my opinion, very anime-like. Decent amount of CGs, too. Price: Worth the price in my opinion, you get what you pay for.
