|RU///_Прекрасный аркадный симулятор водителя автобуса детства. Как сейчас помню, примерно 15 лет назад мама мне принесла на мой ПК новенькую игрушку - «Bus Driver: Дорогу автобусам!», на тот момент не Gold Edition, а обычную. С горем пополам запускал в 30-40 FPS даже на низких и сквозь пот и слезы пыхтался пройти хотя бы пару уровней из 1-2 тира....
Трудные маршруты из аэропорта по заснеженной местности, аккуратный проезд с детьми до школы и колледжа и, по ощущениям как праздник, управление конвоем заключенных под сопровождение полицейских с ЦЕЛОГО вертолета - ни правил, ни ограничений - просто доедь хотя бы до конца как можно быстрее, не угробив полгорода с достаточно повеселив, наверное, будущих сокамерников.... Отличное времяпровождение под приятные антуражный город с кучами билбордов разработчиков (спасибо, что не Burger King), "вайбами" уютных центров мегаполисов и привкусом Windows Vista, особенно темы оформления Aero.
Несмотря на минусы несправедливого таймера - где-то учитывают светофоры, где то клали на уровень болт; несовершенного и корявого трафика, убогого управления некоторых автобусов (особенно тормоза, у большинства транспорта они отсутствуют по ощущениям) и странного подхода к геймплею в целом, эта игра достойно работает как развлечение на пару часов и оттачивание навыков вождения крупногабаритных автомобилей. Конечно, тягаться с сегодняшними проектами данной темы эта игра не может от слова совсем, разве что пойти как в сравнение прогресса разработки игр этой студии. Печально, что это единственный проект у данной студии в работе с автобусами, но оно и понятно: к тому моменту перспективны были только быстрые аркадные гонки, боевики, пострелушки, немного стратегии и, как целевая ниша этих ребят, симулятор перевозки грузов на дальние расстояния.
Если всерьез задумаетесь попробовать этот продукт пассажироперевозок-содержащий, настоятельно советую дотянуть до 4 и 5 тира, там вас проверят на прочность, уж поверьте!
|EUnG///_A wonderful arcade simulator of a childhood bus driver simulator. As I remember now, about 15 years ago, my mother brought me a brand-new toy on my PC - "Bus Driver: Make way for buses! (on russian localisation)". At that time, it wasn’t the Gold Edition - only regular version. With great difficulty, I managed to run it at 30–40 FPS even on the lowest settings and, through sweat and tears, tried to complete at least a couple of levels from the first or second tier....
Challenging routes from the airport through snowy landscapes, careful driving with kids to school and college, and what felt like a special occasion — escorting a convoy of prisoners under police guard with an ENTIRE helicopter — no rules, no limits, just get to the end as quickly as possible without wrecking half the city and probably entertaining future cellmates.... It’s a great way to spend time in a pleasant urban environment with lots of developer billboards (thankfully not Burger King), the «vibes» of cozy downtown areas, and a touch of Windows Vista, especially the Aero theme.
Despite the flaws of an unfair timer — sometimes traffic lights are taken into account, sometimes not; clunky and imperfect traffic, poor control of some buses (especially the brakes, which seem non-existent on most vehicles), and an odd approach to gameplay overall — this game holds up as entertainment for a couple of hours and as practice for driving large vehicles. Of course, this game can’t compare to today’s projects in the genre at all, except perhaps as a demonstration of the studio’s development progress. It’s unfortunate that this is the studio’s only bus-related project, but it makes sense: at the time, only fast arcade racers, action games, shooters, some strategy titles, and, as this studio’s target niche, cargo transportation simulators were in demand.
If you’re seriously considering trying this game, I strongly recommend getting to the fourth and fifth tiers — they’ll really put your skills to the test, trust me!
