mais um jogo cyberpunk distópico pra curtir. é bem curtinho, em menos de 1 hora vc joga! gostei da narrativa e do desfecho ^^
It's alright. + Free for starters. + Short enough to not overstay it's welcome. + Shows potential for something way more. - It's ultimately a walking sim with the little bits that are aimed to not make it so only being barriers (coin collection, really doesn't fit in something like this if it was going for an art piece). - Movement is okay but in many cases you're not sure where to go until you run in the direction (often off screen) and then realise you've hit an invisible wall. - Doesn't really leave you with much more than your own interpretation of what it's supposed to be about. 5/10 for at least presenting something that I didn't hate.

It was very artsy and not very fun. It's more like an art show piece than an actual game with interesting lore or story
Very short but packed with meaning. I loved it.
Даже у этого чудика сарделька больше... Игра кайф
"Burning Daylight" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. Having said that, I guess in this case it's a slightly better value proposition than most. This is a kind of "INSIDE"/Black the Fall kind of adventure game with somewhat low poly graphics and that dystopian weirdness theme that I think the students captured really well (and I'm sure these guys will go on to produce some AAA games as part of a big company, so look out for that in future). The problem chiefly is not in the concept, but goes back to that student-project-itis. This is a buggy mess, and the bugs will never get fixed. Movement and camera are a clunky disaster... it gets in the way of enjoying the short narrative adventure experience they put together. See what I mean about student projects being a promise followed by harsh disappointment? Looks great... isn't really. Unfortunately. This is one of those ones I really did want to be good. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. It would be unethical for students to try charge money for their homework assignments, so you don't have to pay any money for this. But you'd still have to spend your time downloading this, and "time is money", as they say. There's the other problem, too... as a student project, this wasn't made for gamers. There's no requirement for them to polish and balance the game properly, all they need is something to show the faculty so they can get their grade and move on. Let's once more ask... why is that good for gamers? It's obviously not delivering a solid product. Yet here it is, on the store page, and here you are, reading my review for a student demo that's going to waste your time. While genuine amateur developers who made real products get ignored because they have to compete with this stuff. In some ways, this deluge of student projects on Steam is harmful to everyone. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
