Mr Netanyahu could save our species by creating a time machine with trump's large amount of smegma to save the world from evil aliens from islamistan
this has made me rethink life decisions. why is this game so difficult?????? 😭😭😭😭
- The Game has no settings of any kind - there is not an exit button of any kind - the climb button is not shown at any point during the beginning of the game - the physics is questionable at best causing me to slide around the props - knees break. that was funny. - 1/10 (because the knees broke)
I'm not sure how the developer was able to get past the first jump for the store page video. But after 10 minutes straight of struggling I still wasn't able to mantle onto the building like they did. Which is such a shame because I was ready to become the Building Jumper of Legend and have my name be traced through the sands of time for all eternity EDIT: In order to make it onto the building you need to hold E as you jump into the side of the building's roof. (Don't ask me why this wasn't displayed in-game idk) Also that next section with the signs looks like it's basically impossible
Warning: Asset Flip! "BUILDING JUMPER" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips/kitbashes infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is just as it says, a game where you climb a building... a weak and light platformer kitbash made up of flipped stock Unity assets. Usually this kind of shallow fake game crapware comes with an exhorbitant price, but sometimes asset flippers just want to get famous by putting their name on other people's game assets, which is the case here. "BUILDING JUMPER" is kitbashed out of pre-made stock assets found on various asset stores and free download sites. Very little of what you see here was actually created by the "developer" themselves. Very little work took place beyond browsing the Unity Asset Store... there's no graphics settings or anything, this is pointless, a collection of assets dumped onto a third person game blueprint and then rushed onto Steam Direct. There's nothing to do other than weak, badly done platforming to climb a collection of assets shaped like a building. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "BUILDING JUMPER", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of 4 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This is a "nope". While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher quality alternatives on Steam.
