Very fun I definatly would favor the build battle mode, but you do need 3 players. I love the fact that youcan play on a laptop with WASD or ←↑↓→ Thank you.
Bump +1
Build 'n Bump is an incredibly simple game, but it's almost certainly proved itself at this point to be great value for money. It's my go to couch multiplayer game when I don't have controllers or a high-end PC to hand. It takes nothing to run, is super easy to set up with multiple players on a keyboard, and is intuitive and simplistic. I've played this with all kinds of people, from kids with zero experience with games to experienced gamers. No matter who I play with, everybody seems to get a little kick out of playing it. The element that ties it all together is likely the ability to create custom stages. Building you own stages allows for you to: [olist] [*]Create genuinely balanced stages that are pretty fun to play. [*]Create utter hell nightmare scenarios, designed to kill you over and over. [*]Create levels that are just based around writing crude text insulting the other player. [/olist] The controls are rudimentary as anything: you move and jump, trying to land on the other player's heads to score kills, and thereafter, points. Contrary to popular belief, it's very possible to mess up the feel of a 2D platformer, and luckily Build 'n Bump doesn't, with the controls and character weight always feeling just right. The great game-feel is likely owed to the fact that the design as a whole is so simple, and focus was mainly put into the gameplay itself. Not to say that the gameplay is anything spectacular, just that it feels polished. Build 'n Bump doesn't try to be anything it isn't. It also doesn't try to be much more than it is, which is its downfall. Its feel is akin to an old Flash game. It's nothing particularly deep or unique, but it's good fun to drop into for half an hour or so. 6/10
Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Its a platformer where you make your own levels. No steam workshop integration. Just feels like they were too lazy to make levels themselves and sold the game with an editor claiming it was a feature. Review: Okay - first off you get online mode - online mode is badly supported with IP addresses and whatnot, and its dead anyways. Secondly you get smashbroclone mode - no comments. Then you get a mode where up to three people jump on spawning enemies while a third person edits the blocks making up the level's platform in real time... gimmicky... and lazy of the devs to outsources level design to users. This one will vary on the players but realistically even convincing anyone to play this with you is already a feat in and of itself... Having them make anything interesting past that point is just gravy. And then finally you get a mode where you build first and then kill spawning enemies afterwards. The enemies are static and are just fast spawning gray shapes of little platforming monsters.
