About
Bubble People is a point-and-click game where you can click on things with your mouse to have some fun.
It features a short and simple story that lasts about 15-20 minutes, and an endless mode.
I made this simple little game in my spare time during the development of other projects.
I'm Liujiajun and this is my third game on Steam, thank you for playing it.

very annoying game
It was definitely one of the stranger stories but the base game is simple gameplay, only one achievement was for no reason grindy but nothing impossible. Just needed to pop a lot of bubbles in an endless mode. Now when it comes to the story, I was intrigued and just wanted to share my own perception of it...
The main idea is that our protagonist has a tendency to avoid a lot of real life noise by basically blocking it away, resulting in "peacefulness". That doesn't occur to be an issue until the MC meets a partner they love and want to spend time with while still using the same escapism mechanics to feel better, which ends up concerning said partner. They confront the MC and that causes the partner also become part of the "noise" which they finally block off, thinking a break up is going to bring them back that same silence they craved before. However, instead they are left with strange feeling of emptiness, confusion which makes them try bringing everything back into reality, to fix their perception of surroundings just to find someone they cherished. The story does not give them a happy ending however, as it seems the partner was nowhere to be found, possibly insinuating that they have moved on, left MC forever. In a strange way, I found this like a depiction of neurodivergence and wanting to keep things "under control" which ends up affecting your relationships. It can also be a showcase of an avoidant attachment partner, which I have heard about through social media depicted as someone "manipulative" and "evil" when I believe it's a self-harming toxic behavior, as nobody ends up winning from running away. Again, the story doesn't give you too much to grab onto but I believe later flowers represent grief, like their safe person had "passed away" even though physically they are alive, they will never again become part of MC's life.
I hope the spoiler text works lol, this is my first time using it. I believe the story has a lot ways you can look at it but that was my personal assumption. I COULD add even more ideas as I had a lot of thoughts to go through while popping all the bubbles passively. It's a very short game, took me an hour however I was using endless mode before the main levels, not understanding what I was doing wrong as I didn't realize I had to go to the next level XD I recommend it simply because it had an interesting take on a tale. While I myself am used to acting differently, I believe I can resonate with both characters of the story. Quite a tragic/at least bittersweet ending :)

Reminds me of that bubble guy from Spongebob, but with better head design. Fun, i've started to get into these little search games for some reason recently and this has been one of the better games. 9/10, good time.
There are definitely interesting aspects to the story and the pictogram text bubbles, but everything about the gameplay itself somehow really got on my nerves. It's very repetitive (you go back to the same locations a total of 2 times to "place items back" basically), and it isn't just a quick click either (autoclick didn't work, except in endless mode): you have to hold the mouse button down, and wait just a tad too long for my liking. It became more of a chore than a fun game to play. I think a game like Hidden Folks could be a good example of more interesting gameplay I feel like it would've made it more interesting if the story was a bit more engaging, or if there was more to the gameplay itself. Right now it just misses the mark, but it does have potential
