But it wasn’t always like this for you. One day, waking up in the Wild West after a beating. Butt naked, and first thing's first, eyeing a nude lady taking a bath in the river. [h1]Story - Content[/h1] Brooks in Wild West is a Visual Novel combined with some gameplay that includes a time system and experience. Every time the game is started, they’ll be asking if the player is 18+ or not. When starting a game, they will ask for what name you will choose (there isn’t any default name) and ask if you want to read or skip the tutorial. One cool feature is that this game is streamer-friendly; they have implemented the ability to disable +18 scenes, which are enabled by default. But it will ask if you want to keep them on or turn them off before continuing the game. The story begins with our protagonist, Brooks the III talking about their successful lineage. How he’s a famous antique gun collector, his father introduced train rails, and his grandfather was one of the most famous sheriffs during the Wild West. Unfortunately, our protagonist was never able to meet their grandfather. But it explains that things weren’t always like this, as from just a usual day in college to getting beaten down, followed by seeing our protagonist's grandfather and transferring back in time to the time of the Wild West. [b]Tutorial[/b] The Tutorial will explain important information, like the following: In this game you’re free to choose the characters you want to relate to. Each character will have independent tasks and stories that may or may not affect the main story. Depending on the choices you make during these interactions, three different scores can be affected. They are Love, Respect, and Lust. [b]Calendar[/b] The calendar interacts a lot with the gameplay; some characters can have different dialogues with you depending on the day or time you look for them. You may not be able to work if it’s late at night or sleep if it’s too early. Some establishments in the city may also open and close depending on the time of day. The times of day are: Morning, Afternoon, Night, Dawn. [b]Wallet[/b] During the game you will need to complete small tasks to get money. This feature is a bit buggy depending on what sort of work you do. For example, hunting & catching outlaws, you can grind money from those two jobs without having the day move along. But mining in the gold mine continues 1/4 of the day. [b]Health bar[/b] Your health bar can be affected by sleeping outside a hotel/house or getting injured while hunting or working in the gold mines. To heal yourself, you can use the infirmary for a small cost of currency. If your health reaches too low, you may be prevented from doing certain tasks. [b]Gun Level & Ammo Count[/b] Depending on the level of your gun, the better luck you will have with hits and more damage dealt. The game also tells you that it should lower the risk of being robbed if sleeping outside a hotel/house, but it doesn’t show how much the chance is lowered for each gun level. [b]Hunting & Bounty Hunting[/b] Hunting and Bounty Hunting might not be within the standard tutorial that the game has before starting a new game. But it’s a small tutorial that will be introduced within the game after progressing a bit. Hunting or Bounty Hunting both requires a permit. Once a weapon and permit both have been purchased, the player is allowed to go hunt animals for meat in the forest or go hunting outlaws in the desert and get bounty money from the sheriff. When doing either of these, you will get a mini-game for shooting. There will be a half-circular bar that will be moving a small tab from one side to the other, and the player needs to press at the right time to hit that tab to deal damage to either the animal or the outlaw. [h1]Visual & Audio[/h1] [b]Visuals[/b] The buildings, interior, town itself, characters, NSFW animations, and riding horses. Everything looks pretty good. Even if the intimate sessions might be repeated, it’s hardly shown, but if you’re used to these games, you get an eye for spotting. But they still look good, and the added feature of changing angles adds even more opportunity and control for the player themselves. [b]Audio[/b] Brooks in Wild West have just done wonders with the sound effects and music. While in the main menu, you’ll hear this soft banjo playing with a Wild West feeling and proceed with vocal lines from men adding to the banjo and its rhythm. While playing the game, you won’t hear any music while in the overview of the town. Even with a few minor issues or major errors that allow the player to earn an unlimited amount of money as long as they have enough ammunition and patience. But overall, I have to say that I recommend trying out this game, as it has both gameplay & NSFW content. Your grandfather, who you're named after, was the Sheriff of Goldfield. You get knocked out in a fight with a college bully and your grandfather appears to you. Your grandfather says you're soft, because your father spoiled you as he spoiled your father. He has prepared a lesson for you. The next thing you know is you wake up naked, next to a horse, in Goldfield, Nevada, in 1896. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] You start off by setting the name of your character. Next you are given an option of going through or skipping the tutorial. I recommend going through the tutorial so you know how the stat system works. The English is good, with the obligatory incorrect and misspelled words, like "warny shoot" instead of "warning shot". For the most part the issues are far enough apart so that they aren't distracting. Some things don't make sense. You're not allow to purchase certain items because you need more practice. I had my Guns experience maxed out but was unable to purchase the Improved Rifle because I needed more practice, which it turns out is locked behind game progress. Frequently I didn't know what I needed to do next. The game does tell you, but you have to pay attention as most of the things you will need to do, need to be done at a specific time of day. Your health meter is another odd item. It costs you health to work in the mine. You gain up to half of your health when you sleep at night in a safe place, in order to get fully healed you need to pay for a doctor to heal you. You start at 100% health and as the game progresses you can, currently, get up to 600% health. You can also lose health when hunting or capturing bandits, which makes more sense. You can play simple games of chance in the Saloon, dice or blackjack. Dice, you bet if the number will be low (1-3) or high (4-6). Blackjack is a simple version, no doubling down or splitting. The issue I had with Blackjack is in the event of a tie you lose half your wager. That said, Blackjack is the easiest way to make money and you have some control over it. Save your game, bet it all and if you lose reload. Money isn't really a big deal as you progress you will have more than enough. Later on the game gets a bit grindy for a time. For example you get a ranch that can hold up to 100 cattle, but you can only purchase one per day. The scenes are little low res mini movies with two or three angles. You can click to select the angle you like and then click again to "finish". [h1]The Gallery[/h1] There are 63 scenes to unlock in the Gallery. I unlocked about half of them before I hit the current end of the story. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] A good game, with a decent story. It can be a bit grindy at times. The animated scenes are low res movies, which could be better. [h1] The Good, the Bad and the Boobies [/h1] This game is a Visual Novel with life-sim gameplay built into it. So far the story is very compelling that knows how to keep you on the hook. The story is about you got reincarnated back into the old wild west, and you have to do everything to survive the lawless out west, to become stronger and brave, to become the best gunslinger in the old west, and to take revenge for your grandfather. Gameplay loop is mostly visual novel, but with life-sim features, basically you have to manage resources while progressing through the story. This is perfectly fine for gameplay if it's not too grindy, which unfortunately this game is VERY grindy and tedious. You will have to do a lot of the same things over and over again, like collecting resources, earning money, hunt bandits, etc. Not only that, I feel like a certain features are just there to make the grind longer than needed. Like when you want to buy skill upgrade practice sessions, you can't just do it at anytime of the day. Or when you wanted to buy cattle for your ranch, you can only buy ONLY ONE per day. Like seriously NO, if I want to buy multiple practice sessions and cows, I want it NOW. Plus the terrible interface of Renpy engine, Renpy is perfectly fine if being used for pure visual novel, but for game with grindy gameplay like this game, the fatigue from clicking at the menu really gets to you. Because the gameplay is revolve around doing chores, you have to go to different areas and shops A LOT, it feels like going from one menu to another menu just to do some thing. The amount of back and forward you have to do is just unnecessary, you have to buy and sell a lot, and every time you do you have to go in to look at the interior and face of people you will never talk to, then go out. Last but not least, since this game built on visual novel format, common transition slides like sleeping or traveling won't change unless you click, just adding more to the unnecessary amount of clicking. I could probably go on forever with the cons of the gameplay the more I play. Also one cool thing, there is a walkthrough hint menu for whenever you're stuck with the progression. Now with the fun stuffs, cowboy! The seggs stuffs! The characters are hot and likable, each of the girls also has unique personality, and everyone are hot badass gunslinging babes. And the CGs are pretty good, all of the "fun" stuffs are animated, however the animation are a bit stiff and the animations seem to be reused frequently. [h2] Rating: 7/10 - Good game with good story, but too grindy and tedious. [/h2] After finished the game, I would say that I really enjoyed the story, telling a lesson about being strong, brave and having courage. It's like those cowboy and wild west stories or movies I have seen, but with a lot of seggs, well if I can even remember any at all since I haven't watch any for a very long time lol. Like good vs evil, sheriff vs bandits, the law vs the outlaw, those kind of stories or movies.

Everything feels so sluggish in this game as the UI requires multiple prompts to do the simplest of tasks. The adult scenes, although plentiful, also have very janky animations. And yet the story has a certain irresistible charm. It may be cliché, but by golly it was a fun adventure I'm happy to have played through.

Had I known this was a Sandbox I probably wouldn't have even bought this. It's not like this is difficult or anything, it's just not the kind of VN I'm into. Personally, I prefer choice driven narratives that actually take into account the choices you make. Not click here, now here, now here to get to the next important choice. Sandbox VNs seem more interested in wasting your time rather than getting to the point. Like playing an RPG filled with pointless side quests you have to finish before something in the story actually takes place. It's just pure false longevity. Add on the fact that there's a stat system and all I can think is, "jeez, why wasn't this a fully fledged RPG built in Unity if you're going to have all this nonsense to keep track of?" I do wish the dev all the best and hope they find their audience with this one. This just wasn't for me and I can't recommend it for any other readers who may be like myself.

It just needs to be polished. Be able to control sex scenes would be great. But really like the idea of the game.

J'ai acheté sans aucune conviction. Plusieurs lieux de voyage, une idée d'histoire originale, en français, assez répétitif parfois, mais cela ne m'a pas trop dérangé. La 3D n'est pas des meilleures, et les ejac.ulations sont très spéciales, du lait caillé :P, à l'ancienne quoi, comme l’histoire d'un autre temps :D. J'attends la suite ;-)
