About
The year is 1921 and you've been sent on your first assignment to uncover why a SOS signal has been sent from the Emma. After you arrive, you explore the desolate ship and find that everything is not as it seems. Bodies lay around the ship, mysterious icons and glyphs populate the ship, and there is a strange book that seems to call your name...
In Broken Voyage, you will solve murders, uncover a Lovecraftian mystery, collect notes and clues, solve puzzles, and use deductive logic to figure out what happened to the Emma.
Broken Voyage is a first-person Lovecraftian detective game with a realistic style. Broken Voyage was developed by students in the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts & Engineering capstone class.

I loved this game!! It was really fun, i loved the vibes and ohhh that voice acting was wonderful!! It was actually really fun and i don't typically play detective games but this was super fun and even though the ending remained the same i went back to figure everything else out just to have the satisfaction of it! Super fun to stream and really nice work!! (though figuring out the captain's name was tricky due to the graphics issue- if you're still struggling it's Gilbert xD)

short but fun sea horror game, wish the object you can interact with weren't outlined such obviously but otherwise great job!
*SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU GET STUCK AND CAN'T FINISH THE GAME*
Code to Captain's padlock is 4723, four cigarettes, 7 on the secret spot sheet, 23rd is the date of the Captain's marriage The medic's lock, gather all the medical books then look at the sheet in his office "Types of Trauma" etc, match the book number with the steps you take when treating a patient Fuse box should be switch #2 and #4 Captain's last name is Gilbert If you get a message about "You have solved 11 out of 8 puzzles" or something like that, try going up the ladder to the main deck, then going back down to the lower deck and try clicking on the Cutter again (the guy stuck in the creature) and this may trigger the end scene, worked for me If you can't get the ending scene to work, the game ends as follows: You push barrels of whale oil at the creature, light the whole ship on fire, and row away with the evil book. Then you are admitted to a Naval psych hospital for going insane and killing your commanding officer when they try to take the book from you. The doctor in his report says he will have to "study this book himself" to see what happened to you, thus the cycle continues
Huh, maybe it's me, but why is the game so glitchy and ugly? Like someone said in the reviews, wants to be Obra Din but it isn't. I played like five minutes, and i quit. I'll uninstall the game right away. It seems that the game was rushed, using Unreal Engine's default font, with free assets and no ambience. Also, not everyone is english, maybe some people would like to change their keybinds, don't you think? Maybe the game can be a masterpiece, but you'll need to do some efforts first.
It's a little janky, basic, and probably broken, but it's a good short game a little like Return of the Obra Dinn. Kept me engaged for its duration, but I was unable to actually finish it; must've missed some clues somewhere.
I've really enjoyed this game...fits my mood and has a lot of great puzzles. Super happy that it's not too easy (!!!) Not quite finished yet, but on my way and thoroughly enjoying the gameplay. Read some other reviews about glitches, but I've not experienced any. Going to keep playing & will update.
Nice mechanics and a good little story, short and enjoyable!
