BOY BEATS WORLD is a strange little adventure with tons of charm and originalty. It's especially recommended if: You are looking for a music game that is not all about perfect execution You enjoy unique world building and dark comedy You enjoy searching for new music in real life The introduction is a bit slow but after that it's pretty smooth sailing. Not everything is explained right away and it seems expected of the player to figure out and try out the mechanics (and pogression) themselves. But there is a help screen and extra settings to help you out.
A great ryth game for the people who like this type of game. I found the pixelart to be cool and controls intuitive, but the combat feels weird as you need to run away from monsters and oonly be within their attack range when 'on a beat'. I struggled with this a lot and became frustrating over awhile.

This game is unique and fun. I loved everything about it from the music to the graphics. Definitely a game to grab.
Also recommended if you are not into rhythm games! The game is build in such a way that people like me (a raccoon without rhythm but with love for music) can also enjoy it :D
Had a blast going through this game. It's not very big but the dialogue is great. Gameplay is pretty straightforward, nothing to deep or fancy. Soundtrack is nothing short of amazing.

Makes me wish I was better at rhythm games
You can see my full video/promo stream of this game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuf-zScR9B0 I liked the music, and the style of the game is pretty cute. Story's pretty good too. I've given this a 7.7/10. Full disclosure: the developer came to me and gave me a code without me requesting it. I am appreciative of this. However, the fact that I got the game for free does NOT factor into my review score, or into anything else about the content of the game or my opinions of it. I think my only complaint is that 'yellow' is for a 'perfect' beat, green is for a 'nearly perfect beat', and red is for a 'bad beat. IMO, it should follow the correct traffic light system, where green is perfect, yellow is nearly perfect, and red is a bad beat.
I suck at rhythm games but it's fun https://youtu.be/qxzeLi7KwZo
eh, it's ok. i'm not too much into the story. It's still a pretty good game though if you really like rhythm.
