Bombs appear out of thin air and result in cheap deaths making this game needlessly annoying. This was a major problem in the first game and the developer clearly hasn't learned from his mistakes. This game is cheap in every sense of the word, don't buy it.

Box Maze 2: Agent Cubert is a game that clearly aims to revolutionise the gaming industry from the ground up. When I received this game in a G2A elite key bundle, my life completely changed. Before playing, I had no girlfriend, a small penis, was depressed, got bad grades, no job and wanted to die. None of that has changed, but atleast I have Box Maze 2: Agent Cubert . I have lived a life of many ups and downs, and this game is the worst of all of it. I seriously hope this was generated by an advanced AI or was made by a student who needed to finish an assignment in one night. IGN 10/10 - it really makes you feel the exaggerated swagger of a black teen.
Box Maze 2: Agent Cubert continues the quirky, low-budget charm of its predecessor by throwing you once again into a world where everything — characters, enemies, and environments — revolves around boxes, bright colors, and deliberately simple platforming challenges. The premise embraces this oddball tone without hesitation. You play as Agent Cubert, a newly appointed operative of the so-called “Secret Services of Boxes,” tasked with rescuing Gaston’s missing daughter. This setup is intentionally absurd, and the game leans into it with a playful, almost childlike sense of humor. The world feels like a stitched-together arcade playground where logic takes a backseat to whimsy. It establishes early on that it's not trying to be a serious platformer; instead it aims to deliver a straightforward, hazard-filled romp through 100 compact levels. The gameplay structure keeps things light but energetic. Each level is a small, self-contained obstacle course filled with spikes, moving traps, hostile box creatures, poison tiles, swinging blades, and other hazards that punish poor timing. The controls are simple — jump, move, avoid danger — but the difficulty escalates quickly. Later stages demand fast reflexes and a willingness to replay sections until you internalize enemy patterns or narrow passages. The level design relies heavily on trial and error, rewarding players who learn its rhythms and punishing those who rush blindly ahead. Collectibles such as pizza slices, sweets, and jelly beans add extra incentive for completionists, functioning both as score boosters and as secondary challenges for players who want to do more than simply reach the exit. Visually, the game maintains a minimalist, boxy aesthetic that favors bright colors and exaggerated shapes over detail. The art direction has a rough, indie charm — not polished or intricately animated, but clean enough to convey hazards and traversal routes clearly. This simplicity keeps the screen readable during intense sequences, and the cartoonish presentation helps soften some of the frustration that inevitably comes with repeated deaths. Sound effects and music follow suit: they are functional rather than sophisticated, but they complement the fast-paced, arcade-minded design. The overall presentation avoids ambition in favor of clarity, aligning well with the game’s identity as a bite-sized platformer with an intentionally goofy narrative wrapper. One of the more substantial features is the wealth of achievements — more than two hundred in total. This expansive list signals the game’s focus on replay value through completionism rather than through deep mechanical variety. Levels often support alternate routes or hidden corners, inviting players to experiment and revisit earlier stages if they want to unlock every achievement or uncover every secret message. This structure gives the game a longer tail than its simple mechanics might suggest. For those who enjoy ticking boxes, chasing perfect runs, or squeezing extra value out of compact platformers, the achievement system provides a steady stream of goals beyond simply finishing the campaign. Despite these strengths, Box Maze 2: Agent Cubert suffers from the rough edges that commonly affect low-budget indie platformers. Some players have reported floaty controls, inconsistent physics, and occasional bugs that can reset progress or cause frustration during otherwise straightforward levels. Difficulty spikes crop up unevenly, with certain stages feeling unfairly punishing or constructed around cheap hazards rather than thoughtful challenge. Because the core mechanics remain unchanged across all 100 stages, repetition becomes increasingly noticeable, and the game struggles to introduce fresh ideas late into its runtime. What begins as a breezy, lighthearted challenge can, in later segments, feel like a grind if you’re not fully invested in the rhythm of the platforming. Ultimately, the game succeeds best when played in short bursts, approached with a casual mindset, and appreciated for its simplicity rather than scrutinized for depth or polish. Box Maze 2: Agent Cubert is a small, eccentric platformer that offers moments of satisfying challenge and occasional humor, especially for players who enjoy retro-style obstacle courses or achievement hunting. Its limitations — repetitive design, uneven difficulty, and occasional bugs — prevent it from rising above its niche, but they don’t erase the modest charm at its core. For the right player, it can be a fun, if flawed, arcade-style journey filled with hazards, collectibles, and Cubert’s boxy brand of adventure. Rating: 6/10
This game is pretty much the same as the first one so... Control cubert (you) across 100 different and unique levels, collect various snacks as you go on the long adventures to find and save his girlfriend! Honestly, there is not much to say for this game as the videos shows you everything you need to know. - Dodge or jump on enemies so that you can make your way around the maze - Collect the snacks - Leave through the portal - Repeat 100x This game will keep you occupied for a few hours, if you can make it that long. Otherwise you will probably play 2-3 levels and then never touch it again. But it does deem you with 219 achievements, so thats worth something... right?
норм, и достижение много, бувает трудно пройти)
