Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty cool game, very worth it now I picked it up on sale. Gameplay is very smooth and nice variety of enemies. Hope to see more content in the future. Waiting for the update!

BORIS the Mutant Bear with a Gun is unapologetically absurd in premise and proudly aware of it, embracing the growing trend of intentionally ridiculous indie shooters that prioritize personality, chaos, and comedic self-awareness over narrative seriousness or tactical realism. Developed by Ducat and Zimogor and published by Ducat, the game delivers exactly what its title promises—a heavily armed mutant bear rampaging through hostile environments with explosive enthusiasm. Instead of trying to ground its world or justify its bizarre protagonist, it treats the absurdity as a creative advantage, freeing itself from genre conventions and inviting players into a violent cartoonish playground where logic is optional and fun is mandatory. It is a game built around instant gratification, visual spectacle, and gleeful destruction, making it immediately appealing to players who enjoy fast-paced, exaggerated action. The core gameplay revolves around frenetic shooting and kinetic movement. Boris controls like a hybrid between a classic arcade mascot and a modern arena-shooter protagonist—responsive, bouncy, and designed for momentum. Whether sprinting, jumping, sliding, or swinging weapons wildly, players are constantly in motion, which keeps encounters energetic and chaotic. Combat is straightforward but satisfying, with a selection of firearms, explosive tools, and quirky weapon variants that reinforce the game’s comedic tone. Enemy encounters escalate in complexity and density as the campaign progresses, forcing players to adapt on the fly rather than rely on predictable patterns. The focus isn’t on tactical cover-based shooting—it’s on overwhelming forces meeting overwhelming counterforce, which leads to beautifully messy firefights full of ricocheting bullets, colorful particle effects, and environmental destruction. Level design supports that momentum, offering a series of combat arenas, semi-open shootouts, platforming sequences, and absurd set pieces that maintain pacing variety. Environments are stylized rather than realistic, leaning into exaggerated shapes, bold colors, and humorous visual details that reinforce the game’s comic-book sensibility. Hidden collectibles, optional challenges, and playful environmental interactions reward exploration without slowing the action. The stages don’t demand puzzle solving or stealth—everything exists to facilitate carnage, encourage experimentation, and showcase Boris’s sheer destructive capability. This single-minded design results in a focused, enjoyable rhythm that keeps players engaged from encounter to encounter. Tone and presentation are where the game truly differentiates itself. Boris is not just a silent instrument of chaos—the character design, animations, sound effects, and comedic flourishes turn him into a gleefully expressive protagonist. The humor ranges from slapstick to dark irony, visual gags to meta-jokes that poke fun at shooter tropes, indie game stereotypes, and the absurdity of its own existence. The visual style balances gritty post-apocalyptic elements with cartoon exaggeration, creating a world that feels grimy yet humorous rather than oppressive. The soundtrack amplifies the energy, featuring upbeat, heavy, or mischievous tracks that elevate combat intensity while reinforcing the personality-driven atmosphere. Every artistic element feels designed to support maximalist joy rather than emotional depth. Progression remains intentionally simple. Players unlock new weapons, upgrades, or abilities through gameplay, giving Boris increased mobility, firepower, and survivability. The upgrade system prioritizes fun over min-maxing—new perks often change the tone or spectacle of combat rather than radically shifting strategy. This accessibility allows players of varying skill levels to enjoy experimentation without worrying about build optimization. There’s no pressure to grind, optimize stats, or repeatedly replay missions for currency—the game trusts players to enjoy the experience on their own terms. This structure also supports replay value, as weapon combinations, difficulty scaling, and achievement hunting give players reasons to revisit the campaign. Of course, the game’s design choices will not appeal universally. Those expecting deep narrative engagement, grounded military realism, intricate worldbuilding, or tactical decision-making will likely find the experience shallow. Combat repetition can emerge during longer sessions, especially since the game prioritizes spectacle over mechanical variety. Environmental navigation, while fun, may sometimes feel linear or simplified. The humor—deliberately over-the-top—may resonate strongly with some players and fall flat with others, depending on their tolerance for absurdity, parody, and irreverent tone. Technical performance is generally stable, but occasional visual clutter may overwhelm lower-end machines or players sensitive to chaotic screen effects. Yet these critiques do not undermine the game’s identity—BORIS the Mutant Bear with a Gun knows exactly what it wants to be and embraces that vision wholeheartedly. It offers a joyful, silly, fast-paced shooter experience that prioritizes entertainment above all else. It doesn’t ask players to take it seriously, interpret symbolism, or analyze character motivations. Instead, it hands them a gun, drops them into a world of enemies, and says, “Go have fun.” That sincerity—combined with its memorable protagonist, energetic combat, and comedic presentation—makes it stand out in a crowded indie action landscape. For players who enjoy high-energy indie shooters, comedic premise-driven games, chaotic arcade action, or anything proudly weird and aggressively fun, BORIS the Mutant Bear with a Gun delivers exactly the kind of experience its outrageous title promises. It may not redefine the genre, but it doesn’t need to—it succeeds by being bold, ridiculous, confident, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Rating: 7/10
It's really good and has so much potential. I did not expect it to be so short. Then again, you can keep replaying the campaign to upgrade your skills, armor, and weapons. I'd love to see an update with more levels. It's really a steal at its current price and it goes on extreme sales. If you like singleplayer top down, but don't want a roguelike, try this! Also, mouse and keyboard works great.

รีวิว BORIS the Mutant Bear with a Gun
