Honestly I really enjoy it

I wonder when Gearbox will realize the best villains are not made by how infallible they are, but by how flawed they are. Other than that, I don't see the gun play anywhere else, would still recommend although Borderlands is in the odd position of having to compete with itself at this point.

I feel like this game is a gem locked in a glass cage I can't get into because of the performance. The gunplay feels smooth, the loot and guns just click right. The combat doesn't feel that formulaic. The skill trees are vast and offer a lot to experiment with which is glorious. Yet on the LOWEST settings the 60 / always is much less during anything but safe zones is just painful. I feel as if this game is punishing me for daring to own a 1440p monitor, especially with such a graphics card as mine. Sure I have texture size problems in some games that I account for but not entire performance droughts like this. Plus, the low settings are hard to look at. Which combined with low frames makes the game feel like a slog. It's not even that it looks like an older game, it looks bland and unfinished just for being on low settings. I just can't wrap my head around why it looks so bad but it puts me off the entire experience. The open world being so "standard" ends up making this point even worse. I can tell what I'm looking at, but I can't pick up on the details and what makes a location unique when it kind of is just different colours and shapes. Sure, its really not that bad if you look around, but when you are fighting all the time and looking for loot you don't see much other than that. Performance is slowly killing my drive to keep going. The sweet loot is keeping me hooked for now. If your PC can handle it, count yourself lucky you are still hanging on to developers not optimising and the raw power pushing you on. That's all, since I have no interest in writing all about the handling of this game as well...

If you're not on reddit 24/7 you will enjoy the game, classic borderlands 2 humor with b3 gameplay and wonderlands builds. The open world can be hit or miss tho. People just have a hate boner for anything that isn't borderlands 2 (the only thing that stands the test of time is handsome jack, everything else falls short compared to the new games)

This game is an umplayable mess. It requires a shader cash every single launch, sometimes it restarts the game after it reaches 100% just to shader cache AGAIN. Eats 99% of my CPU during this and sometimes it crashes mid Cache... I am convinced they do not know how to make Borderlands anymore.

im 8hrs in and having fun. ive played every single one with my brother, people are too harsh.
