Borderlands 4

I went into this game with a clean slate not watching the trailers or anything of the matter and oh boy I wish I did. The story is meh I suppose. The intro sequence didnt intice me or made me captivated to care. I chose RAFA since he seems to be one of the best vault hunters and honestly I dont like him. His knife blades are not for me, there a cool gimmick that I think would be fun if paired with more movent based abilities. The open world is bland and lack character. A smaller hand crafted world with a darker setting would work a lot better with the half assed humor its going for. The sidequest felt boring and a tad bit out of place in a borderlands game. The guns are all the same. You have about 5 gun compagnies that offer a different way of shooting. You basically just choose a compagny that you like and stick with it. The diffrent guns are just the same guns with varied stats and perks. I know I sound very negative about the game and if you think so I wouldnt blame you. The game itself still has a solid base and hopefully gearbox takes the feedback from the players and incorparates it into the next game. Knowing them tho I doubt it tho. I do think a borderlands MMO would be a great next step in the looter shooter genre. 5/10

99% of my frames and resolution were fake. Definitely made combat easy never felt my inputs delayed. Besides that the game is fine the loot and shooting is great.

If you're into borderlands then you'll probably like 4. Combat is as good as it's ever been but the open world design isn't quite what I thought it would be.

works great ... just idk something is always missing. it just feels empty no comic relief like before idk .. always hoping the next dlc fixes it and it just does not... ever

I've put over 200 hours into this game across PS5 and PC. PC is truly the best way to experience it. However I do wish gearbox would support the game with new content in Year 2 like they did with prior games. The open world was a neat and different experience for the franchise and while I do not hate it, I wish there was more going on in the world. Like expansions of the map over time that could lead to new missions and activities. And just new and more open world activities in general. Besides that, with all of the updates and new content since launch, it's worth playing if you enjoyed any or all of the 3 prior main games.

Started the game. Compiling shaders. Alright, fair. I let it finish. It says that it needs to reboot to apply patch. Sure, I guess. Started the game again and compiling shaders again. Fine, I let it finish. Then I went into the main menu and then went to set video settings. I couldn't back out because it started compiling shaders AGAIN! Clicked on continue game and guess what? COMPILING SHADERS once again!!! Now I'm out 20 minutes just compiling shaders 4 times.
