BorderCollie Blaster

BorderCollie Blaster is a "template" flip. The "developer" filled out a basic shoot 'em up template/blueprint in the craptastic ClickTeam Fusion (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game. The result of this asset flip tier garbage is yet another of literally hundreds of amateur 2D retro arcade bullet hell/shoot 'em ups infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is an old and dead genre, and it doesn't serve the interests of gamers for there to be yet another "me too" entry that was built from a template/demo engine and rushed onto Steam. The "Viral" selling point is pictures of a border collie dog. That's it, seriously. This is either a joke or ambitious scamware. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality which fits with the idea they weren't developed by the game creator... they look like they're "just reasonable enough" to go on sale as part of an asset pack. The issue of asset flipping aside, ultimately the quality of these assets is low and low quality always makes for a less than optimal gaming experience. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying sound/background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop it using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion construction kit - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? BorderCollie Blaster has the total ripoff price of $17 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. SEVENTEEN BUCKS for ClickTeam Fusion garbage. For comparison, the $17 asking price for this game could get you games like "Mass Effect Trilogy Pack", "Bioshock Infinite" or "Grand Theft Auto V". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. game is pretty fun. Can't wait for more dlc..........Edit: The Developer added more DLC. Game is a blast to play!

BorderCollie Gameの続編！ BorderCollie Game 2 - Bordercollie Blaster！ 見た目はダライアスのような横長画面のシューティングです！どうしてこうなった！ 前作でカーソルの画像の切り抜きがとても雑でしたが 今作もそれとは違った雑さにまみれているのでそのあたりは注目かもしれません ・1面だけボムの音がおかしい ・死んだ後の画面でもショットボタンやボムボタンを押すと撃つ音がする ・やけに浮いたクソコラみたいなボス 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　などなど 操作はキーボードのみでコントローラーには対応していません 通常ショットと弾消し性能抜群のボム（Shield Burst）があります コンティニュー制限も無くボムの数にも制限が無いので難易度は低いです ボムもコンテも使わずにクリアするとなるととんでもない苦行になるかもしれない このゲームで一番オススメ出来る要素はこのゲームの売り上げが全てkiraくん（犬の名前）の餌代やオモチャ代などへ充てられるという点です なのでセールで90％オフぐらいになりますが定価でもオススメです
