"BOMTILES" is an abandoned Early Access attempt to make a multiplayer ripoff of Minecraft that the developer intended to infest with toxic MTX and "supporter packs" if they ever bothered to finish the game. Which they didn't because turns out nobody wanted a crap MTX infested ripoff of Minecraft, so the developers walked away when they saw everyone was ignoring this train wreck. The developers abandoned this 5 years and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics aren't great. That's understandably be turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's free for now, but the developer intends to charge for this through DLC/MTX if it ever leaves Early Access... but considering the poor public reception, it's likely this will not be one of the 25% of games that ever gets finished and leaves Early Access. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
My library is full of Mineswepper clones. But I removed this one because of the combat. Most of the map remains unfinished which has always been the primary goal of the game. Mixing two completely different genres just didn't work out for me.
Je préfère le démineur de Windows XP
Early Shaccess
This game is pretty much complete, I'm not sure why it feels the need to stick in the Early Access category, besides the fact that it doesn't have an online presence. It's just minesweeper but competitive. I'd compare the competitive nature of the game to the Binding of Isaac 4 Souls game. It has items you pay for or obtain by doing the normal minesweeper thing. By that, I mean marking bombs and doing the math. You gain weapons to deal damage, or healing items to gain health. This accumulates into fast matches where typically your goal isn't to solve the complete puzzle but to defeat your enemy in as few of turns as possible. The music in this game is chillax as ♥♥♥♥ and can set the mood for the somewhat chill vs game mode you'll be playing against a bot the entire time. Yeah, that's right, the game is dead and you'll be playing against a bot the entire time. Not that it matters, the bot will give you a run for your money whether or not you know exactly how to play Minesweeper. Plus all the achievements can be earned through bot play. So, I recommend it.
great
